The cafe au lait was terrible. I took a sip and couldn't drink it. So I asked to replace it with a latte, and they charged me for a second drink! Well.... My mistake but usually when drinks are prepared badly, they should consider a huge discount or offer customer to pay the difference in price for second drink? The latte is kinda sucks too. Oy

Excellent coffee and amazing food, including best pastries from Seven Stars Bakery. The relaxed and quiet ambience coupled with excellent service is conducive to a wonderful experience. I had the pleasure of chatting finer coffee points with Mr. Howell himself (see photo). And the adjoining shop has first-rate coffee paraphernalia as well as George's coffee selection!

Great coffee but recently terrible customer service from online store. Order not delivered, emails not answered, phone calls to customer service not returned. No way to resolve a problem. Very disappointed. I have been a long time regular customer.

OMG, I just made the Paltaypampa in my V60. This is an amazing coffee. Loaded with flavor and super smooth. I feel like this is the coffee I've been searching for. If you have a chance, get some!!!

Coffee roaster, not a cafe. If you actually care about beans, it's the best around. Their Jardin decaf is better than most other regular espresso beans. If you drown a latte in tons of syrup, then you probably won't be able to taste the espresso anyways, so chuckling at the "I prefer starbucks" comments. Try comparing espresso to espresso, you'll be shocked at how good George Howell is.

Saw this location in Acton under yelp for coffee roasters, familiar with George Howell product but upon showing up The guy at the door turned me away at the door saying they don't do any coffee sales in person at all, gave me zero direction on where to get their product locally, and was just generally kind of succinct and uninterested in providing any customer service. I guess I won't be buying their product then. Seriously get a clue, if you want my money tell me how I can give it to you. Don't just turn me away at the door like I'm an inconvenience to you, just an interruption in your day. They charge dim near double for some of their coffee then most of the local roasts around here, so instead of supporting the snobs that don't give a crap about their customers, go to a local roaster that does.

Website is horrible. No email confirmation of gift certificate purchased. A piece of paper is mailed. Web cart subtotal was minus 10 dollars. Coffee itself is nothing special. "Dark" roasts are still medium bodied. Nothing like a dark roast at Starbucks.

Do Not Order coffee from this company. I ordered on 7/14/21. It is 7/26/21 and I have no beans. It took 2 emails for me to get a response from the company and they suggested I call the post office to find their shipment. All they would do to. help was provide the same tracking number they provided initially.

Never been to the cafes but this coffee is disgusting. It’s the kind of coffee that you think is good if you think Olive Garden is good. Straight motor oil. I NEVER give bad reviews but I can’t even stop at places that serve GHC, which is inconvenient.
Extremely good drip and espresso beans. I order online almost monthly now.

Just to be clear- this is not a coffee shop in Acton. They are a coffee roaster but they have a shop in Boston. You come to this location to pick up coffee beans. The best coffee beans around!
