Not your average is below average. The ambiance and decor seems tired as do the staff. Food was ok, but received an email advertising “Easter brunch” and there was nothing special or added for Easter. My Prosecco was served in a wine glass not a flute, which you'd expect for bubbles. We were seated at a booth and both benches had tears in the seats. sad atmosphere.

I brought my two young grand daughters out to dinner for a nice dinner with grandma. The server was wonderful. The Waldorf salad was large and delicious. Kids Mac and cheese was gobbled up. Large chicken Cesar wrap was also large and tasty.

For what it is, Joe's is great. We take our grandkids regularly. The staff is friendly and supportive. The kids menu is simple but appropriate.

Food and service was great! However, Guinness beer is too expensive and young kids are extremely loud. Other than that, loved the food.

I've been three times and never liked the food. In addition, the music and noise is so loud I can't have a conversation across the table. The beer selection is great. If you want to watch a game and have a beer, this might be the right place for you!

Ordered a cocktail had to send back twice. Service was slower than slow and my dinner was burnt.
came on high recommendations of my daughter and indeed was a true dining pleasure - friendly and prompt service. The mustard crusted chicken and the rosemary skewered scallops were truly outstanding: meticulous preparation, good presentation and excellent flavors. Definitely a new favorite of mine in Waltham!

David Bragdon’s review takes the words out of my mouth?. We are SO glad that NYAJ is doing so well. It’s too bad that its average reviews are pulled down by some past years when it didn’t have its act together. Now it definitely does! Delicious options, perfectly cooked and quickly served, at a very fair price. So generous with serving size that we often get to take some home. Extra touches include their delicious bread. We are so pleased that they are back to the quality of their earlier days :-)

Incredibly reliable for a good, delicious, satisfying meal - especially when you do not feel like taking a chance. The burger is always great. To my surprise I find seafood a top choice (salmon, haddock ... all great)! Chase down with a good beer from Average Joe's non-average bar!

We had a gift certificate to use which is why we went there. Went at 3:30 on a Sunday so it wasn't busy. Waitress was nice but forgetful! Had to ask for a drink ( after she brought waters out), forgot that I asked for butter and most importantly forgot to put in our take out pizza to go towards the end of the meal, so we had to wait for that. Food was pretty good. Glad that we had a gift certificate!
