This quick & easy dinnertime hero--ahem, gyro--has come along to rescue you from meal prep fatigue. Our spin on the classic Greek dish stars shaved sirloin steak and charred peppers & onions that have been tossed in a fragrant, garlicky herb oil. Plus, all the sides & sauces to complete this bountiful spread: - Hearty farro salad seasoned with preserved lemon, herbs, and a dash of fiery harissa - Crunchy-zingy cucumber and cherry tomato salad with parsley and shaved red onion - Creamy smoked eggplant baba ganoush - Cool yogurt tzatziki with lemon and dill Served with 1 piece of garlic flatbread. Chicken Noodle Soup - Serves 2
The ultimate soul-warming, make-a-bad-day-good bowlful! A quart of our slow-simmered fortified chicken broth, loaded with veggies (carrot, celery, onion, peas), herb-roasted shredded chicken breast, and tubetti pasta. Served with 2 crusty ciabatta dinner rolls for dunking in that good, good broth. Plus, it can be frozen for when Future You needs a soup-er pick-me-up. Serves 2 Prep= The only thing standing between you and all that comfort, love, and made-from-scratch flavor is one pot and a couple minutes on the stove.
Lasagna-ween: Beef Lasagna - Serves 2
Who needs candy? The only "treat" we wanna see in our bag this Halloween season is our Fam Fave beef lasagna (aka pasta cake)! Our signature beef bolognese, creamy béchamel sauce, and marinara, layered between noodle sheets with mozzarella, Parmesan & basil. Topped with a layer of garlic panko to give each bite a craveable crunch. Perfect for those nights when you need an easy, comforting, set-it-and-forget-it meal that everyone will agree on. (Pro tip: Your 2-lb. tin of lasagna can be frozen for Future You, so go ahead and stock up!) Serves 2 Prep = Chuck it in the oven for 45 minutes while you hang on the couch.
Arroz con Pollo - Serves 2
There are lots of renditions of chicken & rice from around the world that we love, but this classic Latin American dish is one of our faves! For the "arroz," we have a vibrant cilantro rice laced with hominy, peas, diced red pepper, & aji amarillo. For the "pollo," a savory ragout featuring diced boneless chicken thigh marinated with garlic, cilantro, & cumin. And to garnish, a bright, zesty salsa criolla: Red onion and orange bell pepper tossed with lime juice, cilantro, and serrano chile. Serves 2 Prep= Ready in just 5 minutes! All you need is a large saute pan to heat your saucy chicken, and a microwave-safe bowl to warm up your rice!
Lamb Cavatelli Dinner - Serves 2
This "exceptional" Fam Favorite pasta always gets high praise: From, "If I could eat this for dinner every night I would!" to, "Made me weep with joy at the comfort and the goodness." The star of this restaurant-y meal is our lamb ragu, slow-braised with aromatics (mint, thyme, coriander & fennel seeds), and studded with baby spinach and cherry tomato. Served over fresh cavatelli (from our friends at Deano's in Somerville, MA!), with creamy, mint-laced whipped feta for dolloping on top and our fig balsamic focaccia for wiping the bowl clean. A crisp mixed greens salad with preserved lemon vinaigrette comes on the side to complete the meal. Serves 2 Prep= This one-pot-wonder pasta comes together in less than 15 minutes! Just cook your fresh pasta, add ragu, and stir, stir, stir 'til warm!

Apple Hand Pies with Salted Caramel - Serves 4
This week in dessert magic: A favorite fall pie, reimagined as a handheld sweet treat! Four flakey, sugar-studded pastry pockets stuffed with gooey, cinnamon-sugary apple pie filling. Serves 4 Prep= Ready to enjoy as-is, or (better yet!) let them crisp up in the oven for 5 minutes before drizzling your salted caramel sauce all over. Maybe add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to the mix to make it extra swoon-worthy? Just a thought ;)
Union Square Donuts' Ready-to-Bake Pumpkin Rolls - Serves 4
If you're not gourd-ing on pumpkin-flavored bites this time of year, is it even really October?? From our friends at Union Square Donuts! A tin of ready-to-bake, cinnamon sugar-laced rolls (each order makes 4), served with decadent pumpkin cream cheese glaze for slathering alllll over. Weco is absolutely outstanding. Food is fresh and ultra-tasty - even to my native South Carolinian roots. Great delivery and very responsive, if any hiccups arise, which are rare. Packaged well and easy to prepare/heat or freezer ready. Keep a fridge shelf clear! Danke dir!

Corn risotto was extra special,creamy with the mascarpone cream. Delicious. The charred vegetables added color and flavor. The mixed greens salad with lemon vinaigrette finished the meal. Restaurant quality taste at home.

I've been ordering from WECO for awhile and have always loved the no-subscription model and the food is generally good, but in the past year they've moved towards lower quality, cheaper ingredients (e.g. the lasagna used to use grass-fed beef and they used olive oil for the dressings, but now the dressings are canola oil and there's no mention of grass-fed). Ingredients mater!! Quality ingredients are one of the main benefits of eating at home vs eating out, and...
