Excellent Austrian/German food at a very reasonable price. We had the Wiener schnitzel and goulash and both were the real thing (ganz echt).

Now that we're vaccinated and things have opened up, I started looking for restaurants to try. It was our 33rd wedding anniversary. My heritage is Austrian/Hungarian and this menu seemed awesome. And it was!We started with the Jaeger fries and beer then moved to delicious main courses. I had the Weiner Schnitzel with Jaeger sauces. It came with fresh, homemade spaetzle, red cabbage, and perfectly cooked squash.I was worried about the Jaeger sauces being too heavy (like gravy) but it wasn't, it was perfect. The veal was perfectly hammered and breaded and the Jaeger sauce really completed the flavor I wanted. My husband had the goulash. It was seasoned perfectly.Portions were excellent. While we rarely eat desert at restaurants, their selection inspired us. Hubby had the apple strudel with vanilla cream sauce. I can always find room for mousse, and the chocolate mint mousse pie fit that wonderfully. We each had coffee with dessert. There were 3 beers total on our bill and the whole, amazing meal, ran is less than $120 with tax (before tip). The rave reviews don't stop there. There are plastic partitions between all tables still and with this area having such a high rate of covid infection in this area, I felt they cared. The decorations are apropos with a lot of horse-relayed art including photos, sculpture, and paintings. My only disappointment was the lack of an ale, amber, or porter on tap - something darker than a lager would have been nice. We'll definitely be back.

We had so much fun dining here on Valentine’s weekend. The hut experience was whimsical and delightful; I was worried I would be chilly but the heat lamp and heater kept us nice and toasty warm. I loved the twinkle lights and the intimate feeling. Our food was absolutely scrumptious. From the bread to the Cesar salad to the delicious entrees, we were extremely happy with our food. The cheesecake was decadent as well. Our server was welcoming, accommodating, and so helpful. We honestly loved our time here and look forward to coming back! Thank you all so much for such a special and unique experience!

We have always wanted to try them and finally on Nov. 6th we had dinner there with friends. Our meal was wonderful, expertly prepared and presented. The mushroom tart and apple strudel which we shared was fantastic. No one rushed us through appetizers, dinner and dessert. We will definitely be back!

The food was really well prepared coming out in a timely manner. The decor of the place lends itself to the informing you of both the history of restaurant and horses it's named after.

Excellent German food. The beer garten has a great atmosphere in the warmer months. Food can be a tad pricey, but worth it.

Very friendly staff! Were given our choice of seating in a cozy corner near a roaring fireplace. Adam, our waiter, was amazing! My husband and I ordered the fish n chips (my go-to as a pescatarian, especially in the UK). This place rivals all—delicious, crispy batter that does not overwhelm the generous haddock servings (yes, HH has malt vinegar). Our son loved his dumpling dish. Dessert: The warm apple strudel is divine—an absolute must. Note: I lived in Vienna in the 1980s, where I experienced my share of xenophobia/colorism, so was a bit apprehensive upon entering. But I felt right at home here. We will go out of our way to dine here on subsequent visits to my alma mater in Williamstown.

The service and atmosphere were wonderful. Our waitperson was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and welcoming. The food was delicious and beautifully presented from appetizers through dessert. The bill? More than reasonable and I would highly recommend dining there. We’ll be back to try the Biergarten and the outdoor dining pods.
