Front doors were locked at 5:30pm on a Tuesday night (during open hours) and a server had to come let us in. The waitress was unfamiliar with items on the menu. Entree was served in the skillet it was prepared in without any attempt at a tasteful presentation. Don't bother coming here

Great place....food is always really good (the fresh hot rolls with dipping oil are to die for!!) and the wait staff are super friendly!

Awesome. Teriyaki chicken the best! Going to miss this place.

Food was good from what I order (fried calamari). The others I was with really enjoyed their meal. The bread they served with the oil is a really great perk. The only thing I think would make it great was a speedier service, but there was only one waitress during our lunch period.

First time visit. Atmosphere was nice. Waitress was a little too fast. Quick to want us to order, taking plates the second we lifted our hands. Felt.she she was just standing watching and waiting to run over grab and go. At one point we saw her practically run over from the other side when she saw we finished something. Im all for attentive service but this was stalkerish. The food was good though. I'd go back. But prefer another server.

The food was excellent!! The service was fast but not very attentive. We were in and out on valentines day night, with no reservations, in an hour. Again the food was superb.

I try and go to local restaurants especially for date night,no woman is impressed by large corporate feel places when trying to have an amazing Christmas date night after going through Bright Nights you want something more than a TGIF. So when we got to Michael's 10 minutes to 9 we assumed we would have been able to eat because the door was open AND OTHER people came in after us too, but after 3 minutes of waiting for someone to actually talk to us and not just look at us like we were the worst people ever for coming in 10 minutes to close. Instead she finally came over and said sorry we are closing in 5 minutes and walked away. And that is why non corporate food service establishments are going out of business, because they would turn away business to go home on time instead of feed the bottom line. Sad, was very excited to give this long standing Agwam institution a try and make for a great night.

Food is great. Last time I was there kitchen was unbelievably slow getting the food out, my wife and I waited around 45 minutes for it after ordering, and they came out and hers was made incorrectly. They made no attempt to comp the item, but did take it back and make it correctly. When we were leaving there was an employee in the parking lot drinking a beer and yelling into his phone how poorly the place was run. Again though, food was great.

Good reasonably priced Italian specialties of all kinds All meals are served in the pans they are prepared in. Fun and cute slant. The views of the Connecticut River are added ambiance. The barmaid Sally who was working the day we ate there is great at her job besides being friendly and efficient She is very easy on the eyes and has a wonderful beautiful smile makes everyone feel welcome and appreciated for choosing Michael's pasta in the pan

A really nice restaurant in a really nice setting. Right along the bank of the Connecticut River. The people are really nice. The food is really good. Pasta just about any way you want it. They do seafood really well. Chicken, great meatballs, fish. The only quirk is eating your meal out of a pan - a literal take on the reastaurant's name. You can ask for it on a plate if it's too much for you. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Great job.

Well...let me start with the good. Great atmosphere, people and delicious food. The live music was wonderful. My husband and I wwnt to Michael's on valentines day; #1.could not make a reservation for 2. #2 they only had one waitress/bartender working the bar, that's we ended up eating #3 we finished our soup and 2 lonely rolls made an appearance 20 minutes later without any oil or butter while the other costumers had full baskets #4 I asked to change my pasta for a baked potato, I was told by the waitress they had no more #5 I was given half a glass of wine while the "regulars" were given a full glass. The topping on the cake? A few minutes later the owner approaches the costumer sitting next to us and asks him, would you like a baked potato? With sour cream? My husband and I looked at each other, didn't the waitress tell me they had no more??? and he also received the special wine treatment. A full glass of wine. We will be going back, but I would give Michael's a suggestion. On valentines day mostly couples 1 + 1= 2 go out for dinner, not a crowd of six. So open your reservation options to couples. Make sure you have the staff needed, especially at the bar. I'm pretty sure your waitress is good as everyone kept raving, but by herself she does not accomplishes anything nor does your business. This why I gave a four star rating and not five. Next time I hope our experience is over the top.
