Most Chinese or Taiwanese restaurants around here either provide free tea or charge by pot. This restaurant is charging $8 per cup using those cheap foam cups. The tea tasted just like any free teas in other restaurants. We had 6 people coming in for lunch. When I ordered tea for each of us, the waitress (she might be the owner as well) didn’t mention anything until we got the final bill at the end. Worried she might not get the tip by this so she added 18% “service fee” on top of the total bill. When we raised our objections to this practice, she said sheepishly the tea was imported from Taiwan. Believe that! I think the business is being dishonest. Food is average given $20 for a noodle soap, plenty of MSG.

The people here are so very kind. I came in as a last-minute order. Despite a packed house, I was waited on with profound kindness and given a delicious stew. Cannot recommend them enough. The chicken bao buns are excellent!

I’d give this place more stars if I could!
Served by the warmest family, I felt so at home while eating here. The owners are so friendly and welcoming which made the food taste even better!
I got the oyster omelet, San Bei Ji (Basil Chicken), and the Gua Bao. Every dish reminded me of eating at Ningxia Night Market in Taiwan - absolutely flavorful and delicious. You bet I cleared the entire table.
Definitely will be back, and you should check this place out too!!

Had a cozy, delicious dinner here! We had the popcorn chicken, braised beef noodle soup, black beans and pork over rice, Taiwanese sausage, and salted vegetable & pork fried rice. The staff were so friendly, and we also got to meet the chef who was so kind. It really felt like having a nostalgic, home-cooked meal. Definitely recommend stopping by here if you’re in Allston!

I got takeout today and here's the feedback: For a fast food joint, their pricing is unreasonably high and quality of food incredibly low. I am Taiwanese and was really looking forward to a homey meal. The oyster pancake was 80% starch and consisted of 2 oysters, that cost $15; the braised pork dinner was not what it is supposed to be (they used different lower quality pork instead which didn't include an egg) and they charged $20--a pork chop dinner at Taiwan Cafe that comes with an egg and veg, by comparison, is $14. This place won't and shouldn't last.

Beef noodle soup was delicious. And the chief was super accommodating making it not spicy per our request. Highly recommend this place!

We had a great time dining at Dolphin Bay. We haven’t been back since 2020 and the food is still as good as I remember. We had the braised beef noodles, crispy chicken cutlet rice and Alex’s noodles and an oolong hot tea. The braised beef noodles broth was packed with amazing beef favorite. We also enjoyed our crispy chicken cutlet rice and alex’s noodles. Services were so friendly and I was hoping to have a simple authentic Taiwanese food and I got exactly what I was looking for!

As a Taiwanese, I can responsibly say that this is the most authentic Taiwanese food in Metro Boston. It makes me feel back to Taiwan.

Waited 40 minutes just for them to bring the wrong food. The waiters did bring us free drinks when we complained at the 30th minute mark about slowness, so that's good on them, but it's unacceptable for the kitchen to be that slow just to serve a completely different item than requested.
