Decided to give this place a try for the first time and the food was pretty tasty, unfortunately I found myself sick the next morning and had to miss work. The only other thing besides getting sick was that the beef teriyaki sticks were very dry and overcooked and the prices are pretty high. So overall I was pretty disappointed with my first order with this place, not sure I will give them another shot.

Wow what can I say, dumpling kingdom is a staple, is a classic, is ms reliable, she’s consistent. It’s worth it every time. It’s an Allston mainstay for a reason. Don’t be fooled, she has something to say too. Try it, try the classics try something new everything’s good,no, great. Trust.

The boiled fish fillets in spicy sauce is not authentic Chinese traditional dish as I tasted more than at least dozens of Sichuan Restaurants before. It is lunch time and I asked for small quantities for personal size but still got dinner size. The waitress kept arguing the quality of dish. Based on my personal gourmet experience, if you want the authentic Chinese Sichuan cuisine, the Chief bette grew up from that province. This Chinese restaurant name is 南北和 in Chinese.

We ordered delivery and loved the steamed vegetable dumplings and the braised tofu with scallion and vegetables—both were absolutely delicious.

However, the dry wok cauliflower was a total disappointment. First of all, it came with pork belly, which was completely unexpected and not listed anywhere—especially frustrating as we were ordering vegetarian. Second, the dish itself was awful: the cauliflower seemed steamed, not wok-cooked, and then drenched in oil. At $23, it felt like a rip-off and just really frustrating

We really wanted some Asian food while in Boston. We had tried some other places but eh so we kept searching every day… we decided on this place as it was near where we were touring which was Harvard university. It was AMAZING. It was super busy but we got in and were seated right down. The Food hit the spot! Soo good and not crazy expensive. Tons of options to choose from. Highly recommend

The soup dumplings, that is, the mini juicy buns with pork, are a religious experience. These are the standard by which I measure all other soup dumplings and all have fallen short. When I eat these things I see the face of god. They would be part of my death row meal. The sauce they’re served with, though tasty, is utterly superfluous. The divine flavor of the soup and pork filling of the dumplings is so good I don’t even touch the sauce.

The restaurant itself is unassuming and it’s usually honestly rather chilly in there, but I don’t even care because those mini juicy buns have me in a stranglehold and they deserve to be eaten at their peak freshness, in the restaurant, rather than jostled around and cooled down by delivery.

It’s worth noting that their other food is also great, particularly the other dumplings and the fried rice, which is that lighter kind of fried rice whose superior flavor is almost sorcery in my book. But seriously. The mini juicy buns with pork.

I went in to eat with a group of friends and they were rude. The server rushed us and didn’t listen to the allergy I had and in the end tried to force me to give a tip saying it was courtesy although the service was terrible food was terrible. Sadly I can’t leave zero starts so one will suffice.

one tiny piece of beef in an entire bowl of flat noodle beef stiry fry. The noodles weren't even flat. I feel totally cheated out of money. Never ordering food here again, 10/10 would advise against getting food here.

I ordered the beef noodle stir fry- it was 99% noodles with. Few pieces of beef. $17 for the dish.

I ordered pork belly with pickled vegetables and shredded golden sand potatoes for takeout. The pork belly with pickled vegetables is good, high quality and low price. But shredded potatoes and you give me a box of french fries? ? I called and asked, and they said the vinegar-sweetened potato shreds are normal potato shreds, and the salted egg yolk shredded potatoes are from French fries. In this case, the name of the dish should be called Sands French Fries. It would be misleading to call it potato shreds
