But shredded potatoes and you give me a box of french fries? ? I called and asked, and they said the vinegar-sweetened potato shreds are normal potato shreds, and the salted egg yolk shredded potatoes are from French fries. In this case, the name of the dish should be called Sands French Fries. It would be misleading to call it potato shreds

Our meal at Dumpling Kingdom was excellent! I really enjoyed our meal here and the service was good. The food was excellent and I highly recommend the flounder and the sesame chicken. Portion sizes were big and the food came out quickly. Highly recommend this place!

The moment I sat down . The server rushed me to order. A few minutes later, server , basically threw the food on the table, left right away. There was no chance to find her, get some soy sauce. i ordered pork and leek pan fried dumplings on grubhub and i have yo say that i was really craving something… i didnt even know WHAT… so i placed this order and hoped for the best. then the order arrived and at first i was ENTRANCED by the smell, the aroma, it smelled truly delicious. then i had the first bite, and i swear i have never tasted anything as savory or juicy or umami. the pork was so juicy you would think i ordered soup dumplings. there was a literal golden elixir dripping from the dumplings. i mean this so seriously when i think these dumplings were the best ive had in SO long. i wished it would never end, wished that i could have the power to multiply them by infinity so i could keep eating them forever and ever. i cant wait to come to this restaurant in person as i cant even imagine how good it must be fresh off the pan.

Solid dumpling spot. Nothing disappointed. Had the steamed chicken dumplings, beef and broccoli, duck buns, egg drop soup and enjoyed all of it. Nothing blew me away so that’s why only 4 stars but the service was excellent and efficient.

Been coming here for lunch whenever I’m running errands in the area. While trendy new Chinese restaurants are constantly popping up in Allston, Dumpling Kingdom offers classic Chinese lunch specials that transport me back to simpler times. Forget the flashy newcomers. This unassuming restaurant consistently satisfies my cravings at unbeatable prices.
Their lunch specials feature over 20 items, each accompanied by a complimentary side of egg drop soup and white rice. Some of my favorites include the Mala Spicy Flounder Fillet and Twice Cooked Pork. The flounder fillet, with its perfect balance of heat and tender meat, is one of the best I've had in Boston. Other dishes I've tried, like Beef with Scallions, Salt and Pepper Pork Chops, and Taiwanese Pork Belly, were also solid.
I've also tried two of their dumplings and particularly enjoyed the Mini Juicy Buns with Pork & Crabmeat. While the umami of the fillings wasn't completely satisfying, these buns were packed with a good amount of pork juice—so much so that my first bite splashed all over my shirt.
Despite this amazing lunch special deal, the restaurant doesn’t get crowded during lunchtime, so I highly recommend giving them a try.
