Poor quality control. Slush was just diluted matcha water with large ice chunks. It was very disappointing. Did not taste like other gong chas

Not the best I have ever had, but I am from China so… Still, I think it isn’t that bad, just a little bit too sweet even when I chose not to sugar

Michael was the BEST!! Despite it being busy, he welcomed every hues with a smile and greeting, and was very patient even though there was a line!!
He was very friendly when I ordered, and even asked if I was a student (I recommend having your ID if you ask for the discount) and applied a discount!!
He was super polite, honestly I’m impressed with him, and his partner on shift, they had very positive attitudes despite the rush on a Friday evening!!
My drink was made really yummy, and just the way I wanted!! 2000/10 on everything, and I will come back!! I highly recommend- it was super clean inside with wonderful seating!!

I used to come to this Gong Cha on Harvard Ave all the time, but lately the service has gone downhill fast. I stopped coming for a while hoping things would improve, but gave it another shot today and once again had a bad experience. The wait times are ridiculous — it feels like in-store customers are treated as an afterthought. They constantly prioritize online orders and Uber Eats drivers, while the rest of us just stand around getting skipped. It’s frustrating and honestly makes me not want to come back. If you can’t handle both walk-ins and delivery orders fairly, something needs to change.

can’t get your order right if there are a few orders going on at the same time. employee communication is terrible.

came in here only because heytea was packed and i ordered pear milk tea with pudding only but the cashier girl decided to put tapioca pearls in it anyway. dunno if i couldn’t order it without the pearls because it’s a pearl milk tea but if i ordered only pudding then that means i don’t want anything else. my dad ordered honey green tea and it was too sweet we ordered 30% and his wife ordered oolong milk tea but was handed without the milk..she also said that it tasted like water with milk sooo.

and the employees were a little weird, cashier girl needs to speak just a little louder and the guy that we asked to put milk in the tea was like out of it we had to repeat ourselves quite a bit to get what we want

Super disappointed with the experience: customer service AND drink. Only came here as a backup plan only because Heytea was so busy there was a line outside. The machine we were supposed to order from, the screen didn’t work properly so we could select certain options and ended up having to speak with someone to place our order. We ended up ordering the strawberry crème brûlée boba at Gong Cha. BEWARE! It is extremely misleading because when I was handed the drinks there was cheese foam on top and when I asked where the crème brûlée was the waitress told me it was that it was the cheese foam and I told her that calling it cheese foam means that it’s actually not CRÈME BRÛLÉE. There was no caramelized sugar on top and the cheese foam did NOT taste like crème brûlée. She referred me to another employee who
proceeded to tell me that’s what crème brûlée was, the cheese foam. I insisted it wasn’t (if you look it up, you know it’s not cheese foam. Seeing that I was persistent, he offered to make me another drink but by that time I had to go because I don’t have time to re order - lame place. Not surprised Heytea is thriving next to it.

Ordered through Uber Eats and they didn’t make one of the drinks; Uber Eats still trying to know if I was lying when it should have the restaurant reporting the incident :(

Gong Cha is a worldwide boba chain that has many locations across Massachusetts, what makes this location unique is the presence of a Korean corndog/Mochi Donut store inside it as well. The staff operates both of these stores at the same time, which can make waiting longer if there is multiple people at each store, but I've never had to wait long for boba here.

The boba has been pretty consistent overall in terms of flavor and quality, and I haven't had a bad experience yet.

Ordered pickup but was told they didn’t have my order after waiting

Came here a few times for boba and all of the experiences were terrible. Kept giving them chances thinking they were just busy and having a bad day. Not sure why they bother having food being sold on the side (mochi donuts and korndogs) while short staffed at making boba. This girl literally took her sweet time making drinks moving around slowly as if she doesn't want to be there, and stopped in the middle of a drink to take someone else's order. Then she somehow made 5 other drink orders that was ordered AFTER us. Took her 30 minutes to finally finished ours. She was also sneezing and sniffling while making drinks, without a mask. Never coming here again, maybe for the donuts but not boba.

Pumpkin Pie Slush with the milk foam was incredibly tasty! Just wish the price was a little more economical.
