We ordered the large Mala Gamjatang and the Seafood Pancake. The Seafood Pancake was chewy and crisp and yummy! The Mala Gamjatang meat was really delicious but overall the soup lacked some flavor I would say. Definitely good for a cold night!

I used to be a huge fan of their Gamjatang and has been a customer for more than 10 years. It’s not the same place anymore. Today I ordered a large Gamjatang and it has no big potatoes in there only a few think undercooked potato slices. Gamjatang literally means potato soup in Korean and there is no potato? Also, there were no tofu, which is also an important part of the soup and they used to have them. It’s different today than the last time I had it a few months ago, might be a recent change.

Best Korean food I’ve had in Boston, it is the type of place that gives a neighborhood its character. I will keep coming back.

We used to come here and it was good. The banchans were always lacking, but the galbi and dolsot bibimbap hit the spot. Now, they are taking major shortcuts on the menu and the quality is much worse. The spicy pork was way too sweet, one dimensional, and lacked any kind of smoky or grilled flavor. The galbi was not marinated in advance and was sour? The meat was also very fatty and tough compared to before. The bibimbap had very little but rice and romaine lettuce on it, and the beef was nearly ground. The only ok thing was the fried gyoza. We were very disappointed and will not be returning.

By far the best mul naengmyun (cold noodles in broth) in the Boston area. It may be better than any others I’ve tried in LA or New York. Will be ordering over and over again!

The dolsot bibimbap was ON POOINT!!!! The beef potato stew chigae (I forget the full name but the non kimchi broth) was a little bland but all it needed was a bit of salt.
The server must have been tired bc after a while he acted like my requests were a burden. They probably were. Anyyyyway, besides his grumpy face, I want to go back for the gamjatang bc it looked delicious from the other table!!!! ?
Also, I didn’t order the LA kalbi , but the server walked by carrying a sizzling hot dish of it, and it smelled like Heaven.

My first time trying Korean food, and what a feast it was. The broth with the pork spine was amazing, the pork was juicy and tender and the broth rich and salty. The seafood pancakes are now one of my favourite things ever: they were incredible. The meat was tender and juicy. Service was quick, and the meal was quite cheap considered all we ate.
