Found out this week that K Town Chicken is closed for good. The crunchy fried chicken always had a satisfying crunch to it, and the Original chicken had this wonderfully thick glaze on every piece. The owner was always nice when I'd come to pick up my orders. I loved this place, maybe because it was a true hole-in-the-wall in Allston, where a lot of the local restaurants are being replaced by international chains. I hope the owner and her family are doing well, and I'm going to keep hoping that she'll open a new restaurant some day in the future.RIP K Town Chicken

Really crispy chicken and fish & chips. Fish is quality fish and not your typical fast food fish. Flavorful and yet not heavy. Korean radish condiment was crunchy. Better than any big chain KFC (Korean FC). Nice folks too.

Tried the original small bites (12.95) pick up. The batter and chicken was juicy and very crispy. I think they have okay amount maybe 12 pieces? I wish they added some kind of dry nori/ garlic / cheese flavor on top. They didn't give any condiments so it was a bit light on flavor. It came with one side, I chose cole slaw it was okay - heavier on the mayo side which I was expecting it to be on the lighter sweeter side. I was a bit uncomfortable with their Covid practice as the cashier and kitchen staff (owner and daughter?) aren't wearing masks. Got a little nervous when one of them coughed but she wasn't handling food or payment. I think right now it is only takeout or delivery. Only went here because cheers isn't serving food and bonchon ran out of everything except for drumsticks. I would say the quality is fresh and good just lacking in flavor. I don't know if I would crave it but I think this place is decent.

Ordered delivery and it took just over two hours to arrive. We called and it was apparent they had not even started to prepare the order. All of this could be okay if the food was good, but the chicken was shockingly bad. Somehow, pieces were cold and hot, and half of them were the incredibly dry and difficult to chew. We couldn't even tell what parts of the chicken we were eating. There were bones but none that you could recognize.

Chicken had a nice smell to it but it wasn't white meat.. could've been more specific on the menu.. white rice wasn't bad

I come to this unique place many times because I like the good mood that is outline this restaurant. The personel is exceptionally cordial and professional. The service is deeply efficient. Also, the food they prepare is outstanding. I came more than once and I was never disappointed. The expense is honest. I highly suggest this place to to all.

I absolutely love this place, the spicy glazed chicken bites are so good! Both my girlfriend and I are entirely addicted to these things in every time we go to Boston it's usually the first and last thing we have while In town. The sauce is so yummy! Sweet and spicy... nom nom

We already paid for the price and tips, but the delivery guy kept asking us to tip him. We explained that we already paid and we were not going to tip him again but all he was saying was that he didn’t speak English. At last, he signed the tip amount by himself in front of us. For us, it was ridiculous because he signed someone else’s card.However, the most insane thing was the management of the restaurant. They said it was a poor guy who lives from hand to mouth, so we should just overlook the situation. But if so, we would be tipping them twice, which doesn't even make sense for us. They weren't professional enough to cope with this situation.
Definitely a front for something illegal. Pretended to not speak english/tried to hide under desk while I was trying to order. So uncomfortable I got out of there as fast as I could. There's so many chicken places in Allston, don't go here.

The food was absolutely terrible that I was genuinely glad that it came in such minuscule amount for the price, since I would have thrown them away anyway. There are lots of other options around, so save your precious time and money by just avoiding this place.

DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT! My boyfriend and I went to get takeout. A simple order -- chicken with a side of French fries and steamed rice. When we got home and opened up our food we found the chicken, a HANDFUL of fries, and NO rice. Instead, we got raw potatoes in water. See picture below. When I called to complain, and ask for compensation, the woman fought me on the phone and basically gaslighted me to believe I never ordered rice in the first place. This was literally 5-10 minutes after I had just ordered it. I continued to persist that I did, and eventually told her that this is HORRIBLE customer service, and that we deserve compensation. She then pretended to not understand English, even though she spoke perfect English in person. Never go to K-town. They are liars. They are thieves
