TKK Fried Chicken

I really wanted to like them but I've tried two different meals here now and I've been disappointed by the chicken every time. The chicken is only half crispy and tastes pretty bland on its own (although they do offer sauce packets on the side, including BBQ and honey mustard). The biscuit was okay and the charred corn could have used more seasoning. I did enjoy the kwa kwa bao though, which is sticky rice with pork and mushrooms wrapped in fried chicken skin. As far as chicken burgers go in Allston, it's not great. While the chicken itself is large, it is still really dry and the flavor isn't really there. That being said it is still significantly cheaper than other chicken burger places in the area

Although it is not the same as back in Taiwan but TKK's KwaKwa Bao still hits home for me. It is on the oily side (warning for those that don't want to end up with greasy hands after!). I have sat down and ate at the food court, did take outs and delivery from TKK and have always enjoyed everything. For those that are confused about what KwaKwa Bao is- it is basically a magical ball of deep fried chicken skin that contains sticky rice and then u just dip it into the special sauce!...read full review
