Went for dinner last night - we were a party of 11 and they squeezed us into an area meant for maybe 8. Half of us were kids & it was still super tight. Drinks took 30 minutes to get to us, salads took an hour and a half. Dinner finally arrived at the 2 hour mark and was warm at best. Some said their meals were decent. I had the homemade mac n cheese and it looked like a pile of mush. Took our server at least 30 minutes to bring our check after asking for it multiple times. We lost 2.5 hours there on a holiday weekend and will never go back.

Such a beautiful Venue!! I was dining for lunch, alone, and requested an outside seat, if possible. The hostess seemed irritated but said I can clear a table, give me 10 minutes. The wait was more like 5 minutes but, once seated, I waited over 10 minutes to be acknowledged. I ordered both my drink and sandwich at the same time but it took nearly 15 minutes for my drink to arrive, and at least 30 minutes for my burger to arrive. Thank goodness it was a beautiful day, and I was enjoying the lake, otherwise this might have been more frustrating. Food was good but make sure you have nothing but time when you visit this beautiful place!

I’m so glad they have reopened! However the service is spotty and the food is just ok. Vegetarian options aren’t very good and the French fries are soggy. The burgers are good but not always cooked the way you order them. It seems like they are haven’t got the systems organized yet ie the waitlist for the deck when people were called out of order. The beer is good and the location is great. They should survey customers to fine tune things. I’m still going to go. Again so glad to have it back. The prices are right.

Very happy to have the lake house re open but food took a very long time to arrive. Onion rings cooked to perfection but over salted. Salad ok but ranch dressing not good.. Menu and prices were excellent very pleased with the overall. Will give it another try but not running back.

Love this place! Great spot to have a lovely date or see cool music. I rarely get vegetarian stuff but I got the tofu Rueben and it slaps. Great wine list and attitude. Reasonable prices with a good presentation. Great staff all around :)

Very disappointing! We felt the food was very expensive. We each ordered a sandwich. I got a burger which was ok but it only came with a handful of lettuce on the side, no fries and it was almost $20. The cocktails were very overpriced. The on-line menus are outdated.

Good food in a comfortable setting overlooking Ashfield Lake. The mussels and curried cauliflower were delicious.

Vegetarian options: Curried cauliflower with chickpeas over rice.

In spite of limited hours and menu it is still a great place to go. The salmon cakes were exceptional and actually glutenfree ( no breading) and served with fresh asparagus. The drinks are delicious and strong. The lakeview- exquisite on the deck. Doublecheck hours as it has only been open F, S and S.

Horrible encounter with the owner of the lake house this morning while fishing. For years and years we have been able to fish around the lake house from shore. This morning we were there fishing and he came racing up in his mini cooper and started yelling about they don’t allow fishing. Instead of being polite about the situation he instantly started yelling. There are no signs anywhere stating this. When we brought this up he pointed to the smallest of no trespassing signs on the very opposite end in a place that it could not be seen by anyone who accessed the water by walking down to their beach. It definitely would not be seen by anyone who came in from next to the lake house like we did. The lake house has never had an issue with people fishing until now. The restaurant was some where I had planned to go to eat but after this encounter I will never go there and I will make sure as many of my friends and family know this also. Just a typical out of towner who has moved to the area and ruined the small town vibe.

Great place for the woke. You can enjoy your Kale under the Rainbow Flag of diversity. The hard -working blue collar types who comprised the Lake House clientele for decades are no longer welcomed.

Food was absolutely delicious, I highly recommend the vegetable galette, Brussels sprouts, and artichoke and spinach dip. Also appreciated the level of Covid caution, they required we show our vaccine cards and made sure we were comfortable with the seating arrangement we were offered. I would visit here again if I were in the area.
