By far the worst service and food in a long time. Sat down and waited 25 minutes before a server came over. Ordered wings and chili, wings were terrible. Then ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and the food tasted so bad like it was 3 days old. I would never go back to this horrible restaurant.

We were seated immediately; we did have reservations. Our server did not tell us her name. Everything she said to us was as if she had just memorized lines to say to a customer. We were done with our appetizer, waiting for her to take our dinner order.

Your restaurant has a fruit fly problem. I spent much of the meal swatting flies. Other than that, it was a very good experience.

Very good food. Nice menu options. Loved the bar area. Definitely putting John Stones on our date night rotation.

Stone's Public House. Never disappoints. Food is always the best, no matter which dish we order. Meat, Fish, veggies, etc. Service is always great.

I live local and have been coming here often for decades. The food + service are consistent. We sat on the patio & it was noisy with the passing trains, but we knew that when we booked our table.

All food came out together, appetizer and dinner. Waiter spilled ketchup all over guest and didn't care. Very loud even outside

This was my first time dining outside at Stones. The service was impeccable and the food delectable. We only had one commuter train come through but that did not lessen our enjoyable lunch. We will return !

The pub is cozy and friendly. Great atmosphere. Meanwhile, eating on the patio during nice weather is very pleasant. The Publick House is a great place for casual dining and the staff is very friendly.

Tripped over this place while i was out on a motorcycle ride. Stopped in and it's that old school, exposed beam, pub that was built inside of a barn look. I don't know how to explain it, but it's my favorite type of restaurant. I posted a video and you can see a bit of the bar layout. I had the smoked haddock and clam chowder. So good. Not a broth, and not that stupid new England thick chowder that the spoon can stand up in. It was perfect. Plenty of clams. Slight smokey flavor. Just right. The lobster roll was awesome. Simple. Nothing crazy. Ton of meat. I wish there was a little chopped celery in it, but not a deal breaker at all. I'll ask for some next time. Brioche roll toasted just right too. French fries were great. Lightly seasoned. Crunchy outside. Mash potatoey inside. The cole slaw is very unique. Get it. I liked it a lot. I can't put my finger on what was in it to make it so different. My guess was a little pickle juice, and maybe a small amount of blue cheese... I'm not sure, but it worked. The Miller lite draft was ice cold, and the best bloody Mary I've had in years. If you are a bloody Mary person, theirs is a contender for the best. I have not loved one like that in a long long time. The apple crisp was great. I asked for it cold, not hot. Bartender made fun of me a little for that, but still honored my request lol. She was very cool, and had some great breakfast suggestions in the area. I can't wait to go back. All around great place to visit.

We had a late dinner on the patio. Fabulous ambience with the lights, nice tables, great service and of course the food was delish!

Nothing like giving a toast to my old friend, the late great Captain Stone. 👻

Many thanks to him and this establishment for being a stop on the very important railroad in our nations history! 🙏

Absolutely horrible experience from the second we walked in. We were being directed upstairs. My 77 year old mom asked if we could perhaps have a table downstairs. The hostess immediately said there were no tables available. So we were shown to our table upstairs where it was extremely hot and humid. No air flow. We asked for the ac to be turned on and were told they had it off because the table in front of it wanted it off. It was unbearable. So I went to ask about moving us downstairs. Now they have a table for us (it was open the entire time- even when we asked the first time.) Then it took forever to get any service. Food came out slowly. 4/5 of us didn't feel great later that evening. Absolutely disappointing experience. Will not return.

I’ve been going to this pub for almost 20 yrs. The food is good and despite no longer living nearby, we still go out of our way to eat there. In addition to great food and rustic ambiance, one of the things I’ve always loved is their extensive and diverse beer list.

Alas — like far too many bars in MA, the beer list at Stone’s is now all bitter, overly hopped IPAs. On my last visit, there wasn’t a single beer on a LONG list that I would drink. I politely noted to the bar manager that 90% (yeah — I did the math) of their beer list was all bitter IPAs. Her reply was a rude and dismissive “Well IPAs are what ppl want.”

Newsflash: I’m “a person” who’s been patronizing and referring ppl to your establishment for 2 decades (longer than you’ve been working there).

The hallmark of a good restaurant is good service. Your condescending attitude and response was the opposite of that, hence the tone of this review.
