We have always liked Bar 25 but they redid their menu and somehow the food is even better! We used to come in for the drinks and some apps but we will definitely be back for dinner again! Favorites are the Silent Fool and for food we got Fig & Pig flatbread and the beef stroganoff. Highly recommend!!

As someone with severe allergies its super difficult to find safe places to eat. Bar 25 Ayer was not only a fantastic restaurant but amazing and knowledgeable staff, cannot recommend them enough for allergens and for just a fantastic meal!!

expensive and more of a new age-y menu .. not a lot to pick from for food or drinks. drinks are good but small and expensive, the cheese on the grilled cheese wasn't even melted together and more bread then cheese, pork quesadilla was very good though.

So much potential. A nice sized bar with a romantic and quieter dining space on either end. The fireplace is a nice touch. Our server was friendly and nice. Then things went downhill. Inexperienced bar tender with an attitude killed our nite. While capable of drawing beer and pouring wine, she seemed lost making cocktails as we watched her struggle. My Margarita was good, not great. My girlfriend's Manhattan had sat over melting ice for too long while the bartender reviewed recipes and measured watering it down. I think she used the wrong vermouth. A Manhattan should not have foam. It was the color of apple juice, not a Manhattan. This is my girls drink and brand. When we sent it back, the bartender came to the table and rather than apologize, she told us that it was made correctly, she can remake it but it will be the same so what then? Long story short, too late, we got her to remake and it was a little better. On the next round, back to apple juice. Guacamole was fresh but bland and watery, chips are from a bag. My short rib tacos were yummy but oversalted. Rice and beans were warm, not hot and bland. I'd give a 2 for service due to the bartender but our actual server was a solid 4-5 so we average out to a 3.
The food was fantastic, and the drinks were exceptionally good , and the service was a great.

I went there for my daughters Bachelorette Dinner Party on Friday night. It was my first time there. Drinks and Food were AMAZING!!! They have fun Drinks and had a GREAT Drink special menu. They not only tasted good but the presentation was so pretty. The Vibe was also amazing....not a big place so make reservations. LOVED and will be back again soon!!
