TLDR: I won't be returning to this location. The tea was decent. The food mediocre.Longer version: I am a practiced afternoon tea person. It's a been regular part of my life since 2016 and also is very culturally syntonic for me. So read this review with that context in mind.In late 2024, I tried to schedule with this place but their interface was slightly different at the time. I was told there was no availability at the Belmont tea room so I asked if there was anything at their Lexington tea room and I received no response. At the time, I thought, business must be great if you can afford not to follow-up with customers. I decided to give it another try mid February because my regular tea room is now priced even beyond what the best afternoon tea in New York City costs and I have continued to find it challenging to justify the cost for the fare.At $30pp + tax and gratuity, I thought it was worth a try and I was happy to see there was a new scheduling interface in place. To be honest I don't understand the numbered tables and still never received an explanation about which table was what number after arriving so booking the "any staff" option was fine for me.Atmosphere: It's a very cute spot, small and intimate with teacups along the walls. I loved the look of the place and there was French music I recognized playing the background. The servers were lovely and friendly and seated my friend a few minutes before I arrived.Tea: The tea was good. I have no complaints and they had a nice selection. I do wish the tea pots had cozy's or a different way to keep the tea hot. My personal preference is to not have additional hot water added to a batch because it waters it down.Food: Here is where I was pretty disappointed. The scones made no sense. They were all dry, there was something weird and sugary on one of them that was beyond a basic glaze and they were not warm. The sandwiches were "fine," and the desserts, were "okay." I also do not think it makes sense to post a menu if it does not match. Only the GF menu had a note that substitutions may occur. I won't go ahead and say too much more, it's easy to get the point across that it was very okay. I saw some reviews that said it was not worth the price but I will say, it's probably the cheapest afternoon tea you will get around here. My concern is that they are trying to turn around so much service at this cost that the quality is suffering or at least is inconsistent as I saw some reviews that were similar in opinion to mine and some that were glowing. Also need to account for the fact that some people are not as selective in their preferences/palettes.I am hoping to try the Lexington Tea Room to see if there is a difference in quality. It was a shame.

Adele and her team made delicious food and tea for our bridal tea party! Donna stayed to make sure everything was refilled and available during the party and was so helpful and kind. Vintage Tea made my hostess job easy! Would recommend again and again!

I was very excited to come here for my birthday but was very disappointed that I was put in a corner by the bathroom. It was very shadowy so I could barely take good pics of my table set up. The table set up was cute though. The hostess was nice. The server sang happy birthday with a cupcake and a pink candle. She helped me take a picture of me. On the other hand I really liked the Alice in Wonderland theme in the restroom.

Should have cloth napkins, not paper. The toilet seat should be fixed. The service was excellent and friendly.

I liked the ambiance, though quite small. Service was good. Food tasted like it had been prepared early in the day and was a bit dry when were served!

Hired them for my daughter’s birthday party at our home to cater. The food was so beautiful, delicate and delicious! Highly recommend. So easy - Adel thought of everything and made hosting 15 ten year olds a breeze!Kid-friendliness: Love the adult options but kid menu is awesome!

Really great low key kitschy afternoon tea spoke at a great price. $30 for adults and $18 for kids is a steal. We saw a combo of adults alone, many families with a kid or two, and a few solo parents with one kid at the two seater tables. The spaces are few -- 7 tables -- so book online in advance. Tea selections were diverse and nice. Food was decent. Some simple and some a little nuanced but never overly complex. Kids options were mostly the same as adults with a few differences (eg peanut butter and jelly). Options for vegetarian or non-vegetarian were nice. The salmon was heaping on its little sandwich. I don't understand the reviews complaining about the food, kitschy-ness of the store (we loved the mix-match old china), or low key atmosphere. For the price, this is great and what it should be. Also the website and Yelp pics should let you know this isn't one of the $80-$100 high teas. Great place for school aged kids to come and have a tea date or party. I'll bring my kid back!

I recently spent an afternoon here. The food was soggy and it didn’t even seem like there was enough food to even feed my whole party. The servers were mediocre and the owner seems like a horrible person to work for/with. She is extremely PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE TO CUSTOMERS and to her WORKERS. It made the atmosphere awkward and tense. The owner was nothing but DEMEANING the whole service. The volume in the dining room was also wayyyy too loud. There was absolutely no room in the dining room. It was hard to move around and was very uncomfortable. I DO NOT recommend going here unless you are looking to have an uncomfortably tense time with the people you are with. If I could have given this place a -5 stars I would have. Truly disappointing and NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY.

Sad to see that this owner had my honest REVIEW DELETED- just goes to show that she doesn't value her customers and is running a dishonest business. I previously left a review explaining my experience of soggy food, mediocre servers, an extremely passive aggressive and demeaning owner, and not enough food to serve my whole party despite the high price we paid. If I could have given this place negative stars I would have. Not worth the money and very disappointing.

Great service! Wonderful experience! Great vibes! Endless amounts of tea. The food options are slightly limited, and you ar wkinited to only one per person, but it is 100% worth the experience. The food was good and the teas were also very good!

Recently tried this place for a friend's birthday! There is a preset food menu and then you can pick your tea. The tea I picked was a blend of different teas and was really good and had a bit of caffeine too which I liked. The ginger sandwiches were all pretty good and I loved most the sweet pastries. I'm not a huge fan of the scones but I don't like scones much in general. I loved the decor of the place, truly all the tea sets were antique and everyone in our party had a different design on their tea sets which was so cute. The service was good as well, our waitress was very very nice!Do keep in mind that since they have a smaller space, they do tend to stick by the allotted time we are allowed so that everyone can be seated on time. The only thing that threw me off a bit was that it smelled a little weird in the store the day we went which I noticed but overall our experience was still good!
