I've purchased smaller items for walk-ins, like their breakfast croissants, their lunch salads, and ordered cakes for pickup for larger gatherings. Sweet Lucy's has always a been good experience for me. Especially when ordering cakes for gatherings, I have no worries: they always produce a delicious, consistent, high-quality cake. It's always ready at the time set for pickup. Sweet Lucy's is my "go to" for special occasion cakes.

If you’re out exploring western MA then you absolutely must stop at Sweet Lucy's Bakeshop in Bernardston. They’re just two minutes off I-91 on Rt 5 and their baked goods are the perfect remedy to whatever you’re craving - sweet or savory! In fact you should just make this bakery a destination!
This visit I once again got the pecan walnut sticky bun (so irresistibly yummy!) and tried for the first time the chocolate cashew mini pie. The sticky bun was as usual fantastic and the chocolate pie was heavenly!!!! The crust itself was buttery and flaky and the chocolate filling was the consistency of what you find in a pecan pie only with a rich chocolatey flavor. Not too sweet or too bitter with chocolate chunks floating in the filling. The nut topping was just the right thickness. Altogether every bite was a chocolate lovers dream.

I've had wonderful croissants and good coffee here, but I was let down with my special order gluten free German chocolate cake. The cake was hard as if it was pre-made and frozen, even the pecan filling was heavy. Such a disappointment.
