I am visiting my sister who is a BSU bear and the food at Bears Den was delicious! The burrito I got was cheap and tasty. I would recommend.

The Monday Mac & Cheese is some of the best Mac & Cheese I have ever had!

The food there is good, well for college food and all. The wait for the pasta can usually take a good while but, depending on who is making it, it's worth the wait in my opinion.

Cafe in Bridgewater State University. Delicious food. Affordable price. You can bring your lappy or books, and stay around in casual environment for hours.

Went at 6 PM on a Friday night. Parking lot was about full. People standing on porch waiting for tables. Hostess took our names and mentioned wait time was approximately 45 minutes. We noticed two adjacent empty stools at the bar . . . we were served immediately. There were several good choices on the menu, but then the bartender rattled off a list of specials (that were most appealing). We will have to return again and again. Of course the food was good (and not all that expensive). That's why the place was so busy.

Fourth or fifth visit and review worthy! We've been on numerous occasions but this was our first time seated at the bar on a typically busy weekenight here at The Bears Den. Advertised as "farm to table" fresh...and it really is! Such a nice find out here in, literally, the middle of not too much. We own property near the area so finding a great place to eat is a high priority. Pretty easy access off of old route 40 just east of Cambridge, Ohio. Ample parking with undefined spaces but plenty of room for your pick up or your BMW. Entrance through the main door of a large wooden structure...the porch could use some serious clean up but once you enter, you are always warmly greeted by one or more hostesses/waitresses. They do take reservations so if you don't want to wait, call a day or two ahead as this is always pretty busy. Menu is fairly basic of good solid food offerings from soups to salads, fish and beef, chicken and ribs. We've sampled quite a bit of it and everything was very tasty. The salads are always fresh! We ordered the filet on our last visits...ordered medium...cooked to medium. Sides plentiful and tasty. Full bar offered with minimal wines (face it, you're out in the country and beer is much bigger out here). However, the house red served was mighty tasty. The bartender was incredibly friendly, yet professional; even carded a young patron who ended up disappearing so we know she was underage. Homemade desserts are regularly offered...we had the carrot cake which was large enough for 2-4 people! Tasty but not near as good as what I make at home :). Decor inside is rustic with a large fireplace, plenty of seating and tons of taxidermy hunted and preserved by locals. All in all, this is an excellent find in this part of country for locals and visitors alike. You can't go wrong here, great food, great staff, great location. If you have the time, give the Bears Den a try!!

We thought it was just a local spot for dinner. Oh no. They source locally and have a mind for food. The sirloin tasted like filet and my burger with hand cut fries was just awesome. Service was great too. Just the nicest people. Check them out!

This place has the most amazing ribs I have ever had!!! Easily the best restaurant in town! Lived here for two years and after going a few times I wouldn't even look at the menu because I would always get the ribs with fries and a salad. One of the things I love about this place is that everything is so fresh, especially the salads. I also could never get enough of the fresh baked rolls. The desserts are amazing, I only wish that maybe they could have some regular desserts since there's always something different for dessert everyday. Any chance I got to go I would take it. This place is truly amazing. A lot of interesting décor too, taxidermy bears, fish, and other wild/ woodland creatures. Some even taken by people living in the area. If you ever get a chance to go, go. There have even been a couple times I've considered driving four hours total back down there just to get dinner and come back home because it's so good!

The rustic cabin decor includes many fish and game mounts to make you feel like you're dining in a high end hunting cabin. The Bear's Den is usually pretty full but you never have to wait very long for a table. The ribeye is to die for! You won't go home hungry and will not mind the extra few minutes of drive time to get there! If you go Thursday - Saturday, ask for Valerie! She's a great server that strives to make your experience a great one!

The variety of foods are awesome & the steaks actually come from the owners farm & are fantastic. This is a little pricey but the food is worth it. It is definitely worth the drive.

The Den is a bit out of the way from Cambridge but worth the drive. It is very casual with a lot of interesting albeit rustic decor .... Fun stuff to look at especially if you like taxidermy bears Since it was a cold wet night I started with a cup,of chili... It was too vinegary for my taste and I only ate about 2 spoonful . I ordered a steak that came med- rare and was tender juicy and flavorful .... Actually pretty good . The service was friendly and prompt. The waitress noticed and even commented on my pushing the chili aside. It would have been a nice gesture to remove it from my bill... But c'est la vie, I'd probably go back if in the area again.

Our last food stop Driving from east coast to Columbus. Everything we ordered was delicious. Stuffed pepper appetizer was wonderful. Great service and atmosphere. Worth the extra drive.

I great meal at the Bears Den tonight - our party of 6 walked away completely happy - the total bill was only $75. I had a great steak and the mushroom burger my daughter had was awesome too. They will tell you that their service can be a little slow - but only since they take the time to cook to your preference!
