I used to love George's years ago, I have so many good memories there and never had a bad meal. I went in recently and I was expecting the same vibe, not at all what I was getting. I haven't been back in Brockton in years and I figured I'd check out one of my favorite restaurants in the area, I felt like I was in an alternate dimension, there was absolutely no trace of the George's we all used to know and love. There was barely anything on the menu and the food we got wasn't good at all and took over an hour to get brought to us when there was literally no one there. 4 mozzarella sticks for $8 and one of them didn't even have cheese in it. They didn't have a good selection of drinks either, I was really sad and disappointed. I was uncomfortable the whole time and would have left if it wasn't for the bartender, she was the only good thing about the experience, she was nice and the lady from the kitchen seemed nice but it was complete chaos in there, no structure or order. I honestly wish I never went back so I could hold onto my fond memories of the old George's. I was hoping to relive that sort of experience but I got the complete opposite. I wouldn't call it a restaurant anymore, the name is misleading, maybe a bar or a club, maybe it's different and better at night time but as for a restaurant this was the worst dining experience I've ever had by far. I'm still confused by the whole experience, it absolutely should not be called a restaurant anymore and it's definitely not kid and family friendly. I just feel like that whole experience ruined my day.

Was at this establishment for a real estate function. Cannot comment on the food because I did not have any. Just had a couple of drinks. Reasonably priced.

I liked it years ago but now it has gone to trash.Especially with the new management or whoever having parties every Saturday night and when they do have their party that goes on till 3:00 in the morning it makes too much noise. It is not the same George's cafe restaurant I had know.

Used to be the best restaurant in Brockton until the new owners completely ruined it.

Edit: as the new owners hace been there theyve taken what made georges the best Italian family restaurants in the area into a shell of itself. They need to change the name. The food is not good. Its not familyn oriented. Went with NY kids at a normal hour, they didn't have anything my kids would eat anymore. They saw my kids putting money over and over in the juke box and wouldn't play the songs, they had a love band coming and didn't inform us. When the band came they moved us in what used to ben1 of 3 original eating areas, but it was just a storage room. I took one of my kids to the Car and waited for the rest of my fam to finish. I can't speak on the night vibes of it but don't expect Italian food or family vibes.ILove George's, new owners so it's changef but food was still great. they now have live music on the weekends

This place used to be bomb. It went from actual Italian owners to like some cape verdes that don’t know Italian food. This place just tells the sad story of Brockton. They used to house house made dressing. Cheap meatball and pasta dinners. It’s all over and gone just like the Italian kitchen. Both are dead

Updated. 2023 new owner and nothing like it was.

For those who gave this place anything over a one-star review, my guess is you never actually ate here, you were too high or drunk to notice how repulsive this place is or you just refuse to give bad, honest reviews.I ordered the chicken marsala. The chicken was like rubber, it seemed a little rancid and the sauce was a brown, watery mess. I refused to take even one bite and the waitress never asked if anything was wrong or if I wanted to take it home. The environment was dark, dirty, and clammy and the service was slow, almost to the point where I thought the employees left the building.I'm fairly new to this area and people talked about the old George's and how great it was. I didn't think the new George's could deviate that far away from the old, but evidently, it did.
