I was excited to go eat my pork fried rice with shrimp and this bug fell off my rice which made me concerned
Sad that I have to do this, but this place is not what it used to be... been getting food here for multiple years and yesterday was the last time. The boneless spare ribs was burn, rice was old and the chicken wings dry. Extremely overpriced, the quality is not there.

I don’t care what anyone has to say this is by far the best Chinese food in the city of Brockton, no other Chinese food could compare. There food is always hot and always taste fresh. Most Chinese spots in Brockton there food taste old.

I’ve ordered from Johnny Good Time many times, and that’s what makes this review disappointing to write. This place is very hit or miss, and my most recent order really missed.
I ordered on Wednesday: beef fried rice, salt & pepper shrimp, and crab rangoons. Normally, the fried rice comes with broccoli, onions, and egg, and when it’s made right, it’s actually good. This time, when I got home and opened the container, the fried rice had only bean sprouts and onions, no broccoli at all, and the meat looked very questionable. It was honestly unappetizing and not what I usually receive or what I expect for the price. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice until I got home.
What makes this frustrating is the inconsistency. I’ve been inside and seen employees eating plates with broccoli clearly included, while customers don’t always get the same quality. The same thing happens with the lobster dishes — sometimes you get a proper portion, other times it’s clearly just chopped-up pieces and small bits, not a full lobster serving.
On top of that, the customer service this time was not great. This was a pickup order, and because I didn’t tip, the woman behind the counter was rude and seemed annoyed, to the point where she didn’t even want to bag my food properly. Tipping should not affect basic service, especially on a pickup order.
I spend my hard-earned money here and expect consistency and respect. I didn’t get the chance to address it in the moment, but after this experience, I’ll be looking for another place to order from. I just want other customers to be aware of how inconsistent the food and service can be.

Overpriced for small portions. My family ordered the lunch specials and was surprised by how tiny the containers were. The food doesn't justify the high cost no matter how good it tastes—there are better options nearby with more reasonable pricing and larger servings. We will be taking our business elsewhere in the future. Buyer Beware.

Best Chinese food in Brockton 😋
They messed up on my order spent a good 60$ and was told I would be given a refund and every time I call to use it they hang up on my face very rude the same Chinese lady answer and hangs up then says it wasn’t her and then they talk amongst themselves in their language then don’t honor refund ridiculous they are scammers!!!!!!!!!
Been looking for some solid Chinese in Brockton, usually order from Ming Du in Stoughton since most here is gross. Ordered John Good Time tonight and this will be my new regular spot, everything was great. Boneless ribs were amazing, Gen. Gaus, a solid 9. Best Chinese food in Brockton and I’ve tried them all.
