Preto's Island Cuisine Restaurant

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The atmosphere was very friendly and cheerful. The drinks were excellent with some customization, to my wife’s liking. I hade the steak, shrimp and lobster's tail, which was delicious. The portion were more than I could consume in one sitting. I had the rest for lunch, the following day and it was just as delicious. Although the waitress did not fully understand English, which was fine by me, the owner was very attentive and helpful. Being that it was an island cuisine establishment, the minor language barrier shows that this is an authentic experience, evidently supported by the exotic flavor in the food. We will definitely return and tell our family and friends.

Very kind. Ridiculously delicious. I got the Tuna Belly (Barriga de Atum) and I was blown away. Huge portion, full of flavor. I think I found a new spot to frequent. I will be taking my friends.

Our server Eliangel poured fresh stiff cocktails at our table. I ordered the Bltoque Mozambique - fried egg was great on top of the steak, especially with french fries. The owner Manny came out and welcomed us - really cool guy. Very clean establishment with eclectic vibe. They really go the extra mile here to make your experience memorable.

I placed a pick up order and when I got home, while I was in the middle of eating I realized they gave me potatoes that were molded. I didn’t even realize it was moldy til I started eating it and quickly threw it up. Be careful eating from there cause you will get sick.

Just ordered a grill salmon. It was so good, I had to order a second one to go home with. Spoke with the owner who’s very friendly and the place is very welcoming. Great atmosphere. Will be back soon 🤲🏾

Found this gem by chance on our way to A concert. Before getting to the stadium we wanted to eat something. Took a moment to find the address as the sign on the door is very small. In any case the service was great and the food was delicious.

Food was awesome. Come hungry, because it is a lot of food. I tried octopus for the first time as an appetizer. I highly suggest getting it for yourself. Service was great. Our waitress served us with a wonderful smile. She helped us with suggestions since it was our first time having Cape Verdean food. As good as the food and service were, the atmosphere really set it off. Live music, people dancing and having a good time, and a ton of west African culture in the room.

The food is delicious, Miriam the waitress is very welcoming, i really liked the way she talks and smiles to the clientes !
the only down size is the waiting … too too long … didn’t like that at all … i arrived there before 8 pmd and our foot was served around 10:15

I had an amazing experience not once but twice. The service was excellent, so was the food. The owner takes his take to walk around and make sure the customers is well taken care of and is enjoying their meals. I felt comfortable with such an amazing environment highly recommend. They have live music. It’s an amazing place for family, friends or girls night.

Amazing place, I had a small bday party at Preto’s at Sunday afternoon. It was magical. I love the place and great clients also joining me at my birthday song. Fresh food and great atmosphere. It also offered life music. Later at night.
