The burgers were tasty enough but very small for the price considering that you had to order fries extra. For 2 adults and 2 children 4 burgers and 2 fries and one drink were at 42 dollars. I would have given 3 stars but my kids thought burgers were awesome. Le big mac and basic. I had swiss and mushrooms and it was good but maybe greasy. The French fries were top notch, tasty and crispy. Over all pretty pricey for what you get

Great local spot to have a good burger and some drinks. They have a great outside seating area too.

This place had delicious burgers, tasty french fries, and friendly service.

Cool place serving up some very tasty burgers, juicy rather than greasy. I had the Texan along with a terrific coffee milkshake and the house made pickles. Everything was top quality. Would return and try one of the boozy milkshakes!

Food barely edible. This was the “Reuben Dog”

This review is only about the food, it is not about the service or ambiance or anything else that goes with the restaurant. I have never had a burger that tasted worse. I was hungry after a long day and was looking forward to enjoying a burger at a new place I had not visited before. What a disappointment.. The hamburger was inedible the fries were average at best. I saw this place packed in the summertime, last time I was in the area and I have no idea what people like about best burger bar. It might be I ordered the wrong items.

Cute little place. Very good poutine and a large portion. Burgers are small but juicy and cooked just right every time. Drinks are good (we had a cocktail) and I cannot wait to come back and try the boozy milkshakes.

I have mixed feelings about my experience with this spot. On one hand, my girlfriend and I were delighted at the speed of the delivery. It took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive, which was lovely. It is hard to find a place that would deliver that quickly around J.P. Once we got to eating it was a little underwhelming. My burger was a bit of a mess with a small patty with way too much lettuce that was falling off of it. My girlfriend's burger was good (she ate it all), but nothing to write home about (oh, the irony as I wrote this review). The poutine however was delicious and definitely would order that again. The manchego fries weren't up to snuff however. The cheese was a weird texture and the fries were soggy. Yuck!

This place used to be good when it first opened about a year ago. They hired a famous mixologist to create their cocktail menu and boy were they good! We would make it a point to drop in once a week or every two weeks to indulge in their boozy shakes which were amazing. And pair so well with a burger. The newer, young bartenders have since thrown out the original recipes and entirely changed the cocktails and the boozy shakes recipes. It makes you scratch your head and think wtf? Why would you hire a famous mixologist who made something great that did not need to be changed just to have a quasi experienced bartender come in and change it all? The shakes are awful now and not at all boozy. We haven't been back since.

We stumbled upon this cute burger place while waiting for the train at Brookline. They had a great menu with a lot of options we wanted to try. Plus they had speciality cocktail drinks including frosè! I am a sauce girl and love to dip everything in a sauce if possible. So to my surprise, they had a raspberry aioli and a maple aioli for dipping the fries The burger and fries were so delicious that we will for sure be back to try more!

Burgers are mediocre, but the real reason to skip Best Burger is the terrible service. Two middle aged adults were overseeing the kitchen on a busy Friday eve, while teenagers were struggling to prepare food and they offered no help. One was even eating French fries out of the French fry bin. I had called in in order for pick up. When I arrived I gave my name but was told my order wasn't ready. I asked to pay but was brushed aside for a party that walked in and wanted to order. I waited ten minutes and one of the adults said what is your name? I gave it and he looked in the warming container and found my order under a name not even close to what I gave. He confirmed classic with cheese, French fries, onion rings and 2 kids cheeseburgers. Sorry that's been done for 20 min. Got home no cheese on any of the burgers and no onion rings. Too many better options for me to ever return. (My husbands experience and words)

Hungry for a burger? The Best Burger Bar might be the best burger bar in Brookline Village, but they might be the only player in the Village. I had the Swiss cheeseburger which was ok. The burgers were nothing special l, and honestly, I'd choose a Wendy's burger over Best Burger Bar any day for quality, taste, and price. I tried the manchego cheese wiz fries. I LOVE fries. The fries on their own were ok. I was expecting melted cheese or cheese wiz, but the cheese on my fries seemed more like slightly melted and a little bit gritty feta cheese...at least consistency-wise. I didn't eat all of them which says a lot! The cheese made them dry, too. I also had a chocolate shake. More milk than ice cream I thought. It was way too milky and thin for me! It tasted fine, but came up the straw like any cold beverage. Service was friendly though! If you are looking for food in Brookline Village, there are so many better options from which to select.

The elk burger was tasty and unique, but the chicken sandwich was on the burnt side and also seemed to have too much grease (fried in old oil perhaps?). The fries had skins on them, but also felt like they may have been battered (not my favorite). Prices are good at least. Good cocktail and beer list though (the boozy mint milkshake was excellent), and it had a nice patio and both counter and table service.

After a long & cold winter of walking by Best Burger Bar & aching to sit on the patio with a cold cocktail and a juicy burger, my roommate and I were left sorely disappointed. The protocol is to order at the counter, after which a server will bring your drinks/ food over to you. There was no signage directing patrons to order at the counter or to seat themselves, which made this process a tad confusing. The woman at the counter was very nice, but did not know much about the menu or drinks offered when questions were asked. When our beers arrived, they were each only filled about 3/4 of the way in the pint glass. This was disappointing considering the staggering-- $8 -- price for a draft. We then noticed that there was debris (I'm assuming from the bottom of the keg) floating around our original Downeasts. While I have ordered Downeast from other establishments numerous times, I have never experienced this problem. The burgers then arrived. They might be priced modestly, but they are smaller than a $2 burger that you'd get at McDonald's. They did not offer any of the classic toppings that one might order for a burger, such as fried eggs, avocado, or sautéed veggies. The special umami sauce left much to be desired. One bite into the burger and we realized that the meat was cooked extremely rare, despite the menu that advertised burgers cooked to medium. Fries were good, though! We had high hopes for Best Burger Bar, but unfortunately were left wanting much more.
