After a long day exploring Boston and running errands, we stopped into Bottega — a local institution my husband and his brother used to frequent when they were in med school nearby. The restaurant is run by two brothers who embody true Italian charm and hospitality, and you can immediately feel the warmth and authenticity the moment you walk in.
The food was absolutely delicious and came out quickly. We ordered the tortellini carbonara, penne alla vodka, arrabbiata, and a side of meatballs — everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating available, plus easy takeout options. It’s the kind of spot that makes you feel at home — simple, genuine, and full of heart. Highly recommend Bottega for anyone craving authentic, easy, and tasty Italian food in Brookline.

The pasta sauce is especially good because is a lighter sauce and not overly heavy thick sauce. The food was really pleasing and the server was very pleasant and respectful.
the staff were super polite and attentive, the food was served fast and tasted amazing, and it's super affordable. my friend absolutely refuses to eat left overs but she took some of their pasta home with us and ate it the next day no problem.

Only about 20 seats but it's the best Italian in Brookline along with some of the nicest staff.
Love the chicken Parm sub with rosintina sauce!

It's a small, old school place. Food was very good, but keep in mind they don't serve alcohol and don't have many options for non-soda beverages.

Very good old school Italian, we had the stuffed shells and penne. Quaint small and reminded us of when we were in the old country.

The food was really really good! FRESH made from scratch... the only thing i complaining about is my seafood pasta was missing clams and parsley for a pretty garnish look, and the waitress was ok but not great... I still gave her a 20$ dollar tip because I always tip, besides that a hole in the wall! Great great food. A little small tight place to sit and eat but I recommend and call ahead if u want to dine in.
