Amazing service. Great bottomless brunch food and delicious drinks. Will definitely be back.
Had one of the greatest birthday dinners here! We had a large group for Mucho Monday, and it did not disappoint. They accommodated my allergy to alliums, and they even made a special watermelon margarita (off-menu) just fie us! 10/10 would highly recommend.
We were here several years ago and didn't care for it. We decided to try it again and were pleasantly surprised. Food and drinks were great. We had a really nice time and will add this back into our rotation.
We had bottomless brunch at the Painted Burro and thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the smaller portions so that you can try a bunch of different things! Only critique is that the coffee/tea is NOT bottomless, which is a bummer when you're paying $4 for a cup of joe.

Pretty okay/good. Tacos were fine, nachos aren't bad. Best feature of this restaurant is their outdoor terrace.
the first problem was that the name on the front of the restaurant is "the Burro Bar", not "The Painted Burro" which caused us to walk around the block thinking there were maybe two mexican restaurants on the same block. We were seated promptly and the server took our beverage order in good time. However other than the wine, all the drinks took a really long time to come (including oddly the gingerale ) Food was fine , nothing amazing, serviceable tacos. We were sat outdoors as it was a beautiful night, and the space has a nice ambience
Always a great experience here. The staff is very knowledgeable about cross contamination and a lot of the menu can be made for gluten safe!

Sabrina, our server, was fantastic!! The manager was so accommodating with our party as well. We had a blast!
We ate outside because the noise level inside was intolerable--this is clearly a restaurant we can only enjoy in good weather. The entree my husband and I had planned to order was sold out--very disappointing. However, we enjoyed the alternative items we ordered, and appreciated the salsa/guac appetizer which was comped to us to make up for the inconvenience. Our waiter was initially quite slow to take our order, but was more attentive after that.
Totally mediocre food. Service was ridiculously slow. I chose this place because it was highly rated on Google. I was misled.

The food was great! I went here a bit ago and my server Sydney was amazing. She was very bubbly, energetic, and made us feel so welcomed. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and always made sure we taken care of and had very we needed. Will be coming back for her kind and genuine energy.

The atmosphere is nice and the service is okay. I’ve been to the one in Cambridge for the AYCE breakfast and the food had a ton of flavor service was eh, which was understandable given how extremely busy they were. Figured I’d try something different and something close. This might just be a review of the chimichanga itself. The presentation looked phenomenal. The food was fine. I wasn’t expecting a chimichanga like you would get at Pacific Beach but also didn’t really know what to expect. The sauces are great. Full of flavor. Which happens to be needed because the chicken inside the chimichanga was just plain. It’s not Tinga, it’s just plain shredded chicken. I didn’t really taste anything else other than the chicken and the sauces. I saw a hint of rice and a bean here or there. Did not see any of the three cheeses inside. So it was definitely missing a lot of the ingredients that should’ve been there. So if you’re looking for a lot of protein this would be it because it just seemed like shredded chicken and a fried tortilla covered with sauce (a little thick but okak). The tortilla itself was very good. It was an interesting mix of a lot of flavor and no flavor. It wasn’t terrible and the presentation was very nice. It just didn’t hit as I was hoping to. But at the same time it’s a high level take and I wasn’t sure what to expect. The atmosphere is nice and it seems like a fun place, but also had the slight feeling similar to the chimichanga that it was nice but fine. Again not terrible and you’re going to get decent food. I’m definitely interested in trying out some of the other dishes. The discription of the verde enchiladas remind me of enchilada suiza. But overall, a little disappointed that I was missing more of the ingredients and any flavoring for the chicken. For $25 for a chimichanga it should’ve had more flavor, but somehow I’m not surprised. I could’ve said something, but I was hungry and tired from a long day.

Food was great but the service was extremely disorganized, slow and not informed. Food came out quickly
Very good food and the margaritas were great. Service was very slow, especially from the bar. Ordered glasses of wine during dinner and they didn't arrive until we were ready for the check. We were not happy to see a 5% surcharge for kitchen staff. If the restaurant thinks its kitchen staff is underpaid than it should pay them. Ore. And no shame in stating up front that you've increased your prices so that you can play your kitchen workers a fair wage. One way or another the dining public is paying so for goodness sake don't try to hide it behind virtue signaling.
Such a fantastic setting to share outstanding food and conversation. We'll definitely do it again!
