We had bottomless brunch at the Painted Burro and thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the smaller portions so that you can try a bunch of different things! Only critique is that the coffee/tea is NOT bottomless, which is a bummer when you're paying $4 for a cup of joe.
the first problem was that the name on the front of the restaurant is "the Burro Bar", not "The Painted Burro" which caused us to walk around the block thinking there were maybe two mexican restaurants on the same block. We were seated promptly and the server took our beverage order in good time. However other than the wine, all the drinks took a really long time to come (including oddly the gingerale ) Food was fine , nothing amazing, serviceable tacos. We...
We ate outside because the noise level inside was intolerable--this is clearly a restaurant we can only enjoy in good weather. The entree my husband and I had planned to order was sold out--very disappointing. However, we enjoyed the alternative items we ordered, and appreciated the salsa/guac appetizer which was comped to us to make up for the inconvenience. Our waiter was initially quite slow to take our order, but was more attentive after that.
