I'm disappointed in the quality of the challah. Both times I have gotten them over the past couple of months, they have been stale. Really dry and falls apart into bead crumbs.

The best Jewish bakery!! Their challah is the best, and their baked goods are amazing as well. Service is nice and quick, even when it’s busy, and the staff is very friendly.

Parking: Free parking lot, but when it’s busy, it may be hard to find a spot, with it being a shared parking lot with the rest of the shops.

Hadn’t been since they reopened. Really loved their challah especially the raisin challah. It was a disappointment as it was crumbly and drier than it used to be. Also wanted to buy a cinnamon babka and what they sold us was a round roll that was dry and tasteless …. Didn’t look ok like what a bubka should be moist layers of yeast dough and cinnamon filling. So disappointed!!!!

Its been here for 40 years. The staff has changed, but it's still a wonderful neighborhood bakery. . where my son used to spend his allowance buying sweets & his own personal challah, so he didn't have to share. Good memories.

I'm 64 and have been going here since born. I stop here when up from Cape Cod now. The half moons are best in Boston! So are the onion rolls and challah bread. Despite the devastating fire and rebuild, nothing has changed. My only criticism, was the kid behind the counter was very slow.

Was greeted with smiles from everyone, the place is amazing! Today they had a cinnamon bread roll for sampling, it was SO GOOD! I have a nut allergy and they relayed how they are a nut-free bakery, which is even a bigger plus as I don’t have to worry before I eat something. Best staff, best bakery, support local! -

What a find during my visit after walking from Chestnut Hill into Brookline reminiscing about my youth growing up in Boston.

My first sight upon looking through the glass door was a case with Black & White AKA Half Moon pastries a personal favorite calling me to come in. I was greeted with top notch hospitality and a warm welcome by Julie who provided exemplary customer service leading to a larger purchase. This place is super clean with all items presented in a clear cut manner with any questions asked answered concisely with immediacy. I returned shortly after my purchase due to the excessive heat and humidity sweating profusely waiting for an Uber pick up and was welcomed once again after asking permission to wait. This time her colleague kindly offered me a cold bottle of water for which I personally thought was the ultimate touch to a positive guest experience.

All of the pastries were super yummy and being a vegan the Kosher / Pareve non-dairy trans fat made it more of a pleasure. The quality of baking, taste, and texture of all pictured were truly remarkable! My friend and host during my stay told me there was a fire there and was surprised that I found it and was happy to hear the bakery reopened. He loved it too!!!

Cheryl Ann's still has the best Challah! The rugelach and babke are delicious - it's all good! Glad they've bounced back from the fire. We missed them.
