My friends and I arrived at Chiharu right when it opened on the weekend, and it was not too busy. There is a small parking lot next to the driving school with designated parking spots for this restaurant, but the space is a bit tight there. There is also only one server, so the service is not exceptionally fast. I ordered sashimi salad, salmon sashimi, scallop sashimi, kiss of fire roll, spider roll, phoenix roll, spicy titanic roll, and torched yellowtail roll. My favorite was the spicy titanic roll, but I also quite enjoyed the phoenix roll and kiss of fire roll. The sashimi slices are a bit thin in the sashimi salad, but I did enjoy the variety of fish and vegetables present. My favorite sashimi was the yellowtail, which tasted quite fresh and delicious. All the seafood in the rolls tasted really fresh and good, including the shrimp tempura. My least favorite was the torched yellowtail roll as I did not taste much yellowtail, and the eel felt lackluster. The scallop sashimi was alright, and the salmon sashimi was on the leaner side. I enjoyed the careful effort put into the presentation of all these sushi. Unfortunately, their other special rolls do not sound as appealing to me, but I would come back again since their sushi tastes fresh!

They didn’t start my take out order until I arrived. I ordered pick up at 5:42 snd they said it would be ready in an hour. I arrived at 7:10 and it still was not ready and I waited at least another 15 mins. I understand this can happen, but this is the second time.

Exceptional meal...so focused on the food and conversation I forgot to take any pictures. Would definitely recommend. All the sushi/sashimi we had was fresh and very nicely done. We did the gyoza which were nice...but the Chiharu pancakes were amazing..would go back just for those.

I wanted to like this restaurant as it’s a family run business but honestly the food was very average, and service was slow. We got the chirashi (it has just 4 salmon, 2 tuna, 2 yellowtail), pancake, and a couple maki rolls.

Amazing ramen. Beautiful sushi. Gyoza served in the steaming basket.Parking: Parked around the corner at a meter. Parking is pretty dispersed as the restaurant is on the main road so you have to find a side street nearby to park on.

Great food. The sushi was fantastic and the ramen was also great.
Been meaning to try out Chiharu for a while now. Finally got the chance. The food quality is nearly comparable to Fugakyu for much less money. The service was good, it's small space so it was only a couple wait staff so service was good.If you are looking for sushi in the neighborhood and you don't want to pay Fugakyu prices Chiharu is a great option.

Great sushi and pancake app. Toro and uni were the best. No crowd on a Sunday afternoon. Wonderful staff!
Top notch every single time! This is our go-to for sushi. We've tried a number of other places in Boston, but none compared! The presentation and flavor are always perfect.

Highly recommend! The sushi is always fresh and delicious. We usually get the Chiharu house roll, rainbow roll and kiss of fire roll. The Ramen and Beef noodle soup are always rich and flavorful.

Visiting on Saturday around 2:30pm. Seems lack of staff at that time, but the lady is very nice. Only tried ramen and noodles, not bad, eatable, will try others next time to find out more.
