Very small place that can't Accommodate more than two customers at a time. Tough on customers during snow/rains with zero provisions for shelter outside.
The pastries are a saving grace, by the way. Nothing distinguishing about their sourdough and other bread varieties though good (slightly expensive). Their flour-free chocolate cake takes the cake for innovation and taste.
If only they would make an effort to combine the coffee shop next door (also owned/leased by clearflour mgmt.) they could customer convenience that bit more amenable.

Easiest 5 stars rating I've ever given to a bakery. You won't go wrong with any bread that you pick over here. Stuff's always fresh and delicious. And somehow it feels rightly priced. Good folks, definitely recommend checking them out. Although do keep in mind that the wait times to get in can get very long. On a Saturday morning, think you'd spend at least 30 minutes waiting in line. So plan accordingly.

Coming from France, I can legitimately say that this bakery is THE best in the city! The service is efficient and friendly. The products are ultra-fresh, and there’s a great selection of high-quality items. The place is very cute and pleasant. Every time I’m in Boston, I make a beeline for this bakery to get my bread, and I love enjoying their tarts, which I bring to family gatherings :)

Clearflour has been, and probably always will be, the gold standard of bread in Boston.
Is it on the pricier side? Yeah.
Is it exceptionally crafted? Also yeah.
Are the lines super long on the weekends and do you only get a few moments to see all of the baked goods before having to make your selection? Most definitely.
I don’t hold any of that against Clearflour. They’ve been making bread perfection ever since I moved to Boston 13 years ago, but it does contribute how often we are able visit.
One look at the breads proudly displayed on its shelves and the hum of the giant ovens in the back, It’s obvious that Clearflour doesn’t need to go for viral bakery trends - but rather relies on tradition and mastery to uphold their quality.
While there are too many breads for me to review I will say their sourdough, tarts, and croissants (I believe they still have a pretzel croissant with mustard butter on the weekends 🤤) are all out of this world.
If you are in this cute neighborhood between Allston and Brookline - Clearflour is definitely worth a visit.
Parking: BE WARY OF PARKING OUTSIDE. BROOKLINE IS EXTREMELY STRICT ABOUT PARKING AND WILL TICKET YOU INSTANTLY. PLEASE READ THE PARKING SIGNS CAREFULLY.

Excellent bakery, the wholemeal bread was really delicious even though it cost around €10.50 per kilo.

One of the feel good bakery in Brookline locality!
The tastes remain the same for years. The employees are really friendly.
The ready to cook sauces and pastas are new in the menu it was not there ten years ago.
Everything is as amazing as it was earlier.
Kid-friendliness: The employees are really friendly. Kids love the complimentary bites.
Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is at sidewalk level. Wheel chair can be taken inside if the shop is empty.

Great bread and other treats. It’s a bit hard to find a parking spot and expect a wait. The baguettes are great!

Almost broke a tooth attempting to eat their chocolate chip cookie. Came in and after paying nearly $5 came home to a literal rock of dough. Last time I visited I was ordered out like a dog because there were over 3 parties inside. Place is snooty. I’ll be going to Lakon next time.
