Permantly closing.... The website says theyre permantly closing on Wed Sept 27, 2023 I did not love this place. I got the veggie duck, pad thai, and thai fried rice.,.... none of which I loved. Updated from previous review on 2023-09-19
This is one of the absolute magnifí WHAT can I say, this, is the best Thai restaurant in, at least in the State..! I have eaten at the restaurant in the flesh, I have gotten take out and sat in a beautiful nearby park, AND I have ordered from here this gem Dok Bua, a countless and yet countable, over 100+ times, using Uber Eats! ♥️ ? ?
Good food, plenty of Thai food choices to pick from. Quick service.
Vegetarian options: Lots of food options with tofu and vegetables entrees
Parking: Street paid parking, near the paid parking lot
Food: Crispy Shrimp Spring roll; Crab Rangoon; Mango Fried Rice with Shrimp (Stir-fried rice with mango, egg, onion, green onion)Ambiance: Casual and spacious venue.
Parking: Street meter parking is available.Pricing: Fair.Food (flavors): The cream cheese filling in the crab rangoon was sweet and very enjoyable, but I did not like the somewhat large chunks of onion and green onion in the crab rangoon. I wish they cut those ingredients smaller so that the flavors could blend better. The crispy Shrimp spring rolls were light and crispy. I expected for it to have veggies in it but it was just Shrimp. The dipping sauce was amazing and added a lot of flavor. It was sweet and had a thick honey like consistency. The mango rice was somewhat flavorless aside from the mango chunks. I expected it to be the sweet and salty dish, but it wasn't. It's as if the oil was the flavoring. It tasted better once I requested soy sauce to add to it though. I wish the mango was integrated into the dish better. I wish all the other ingredients were integrated into the dish better.Portion size: LargeFor more reviews, please follow my IG food page @fave_foodie
Tried this place in lieu of my usual favorite Thai place (that maybe went out of business?) and was enticed by the pictures and tofu options. I got the tofu pad see ew, and despite my optimism I wound up pretty disappointed. The noodles were slimy, tofu was soggy, broccoli was limp, and the sauce was not very flavorful. I’m not sure if it just didn’t travel well - full disclosure I got takeout - or it was just a one-off, but I don’t think this place will be my new go to Thai place….
Not only was the food delicious and service excellent, they went above and beyond!! We arrived at 9:15 after searching for parking. They were extremely gracious and told us we could still be seated even though the kitchen was supposed to close at 9:15. We asked for takeout containers to make it easy for them. They brought out a several course meal on a platter that included soup, two appetizers, main dish and rice! It was sumptuous! We will be back!
They have the best following in Boston, if not in the whole world:1) Vegetarian fried rice2) Drunken noodleSoooo good! Highly recommended!!! I look forward to trying other dishes in the near future!
If I could put a 0 star I would. THIS RESTAURANT SOLD ME RAW CHICKEN. AND COULD NOT COME TO A SOLUTION TO FIX IT. NOT ONLY DID THEY HUNG UP ON MULTIPLE DEVICE MULTIPLE TIMES. They also acted as if they phone was not working so they don’t have to listen to me. All they could say “I cannot give you a refund. And to call your credit company. That I know how my food is cooked”. This is extremely disrespectful and offensive. NEVER EATING FROM HERE AGAIN.
I do not recommend this place. I tried one bite of the chicken stir fry and now have a really bad stomach ache. The food here seems to not be rushed and not fully cooked.
In the Vegetarian section, I saw their spicy seitan duck dish and the server informed me there was no egg or dairy- Suuper good, can't wait to go back and try some other dishes! (They have tofu based dishes as well)

I have been coming to this place for 10 years with my family. The food is consistently good and authentic, and the staff are uniformly friendly and helpful. We have several food allergies in our family and they will always find a way to accommodate us. Look forward to returning soon.
Food, service, and drinks (i.e. thai iced tea and mango drink) were very good. The spice level for the curry was lower than expected but still delicious.
Delicious! I only photographed some of the food unfortunately. But I will definitely be back
I was excited to bring my 13 yo daughter for lunch here as part of our mommy and daughter date. The food was good, service was okay right up until I was about to pack my leftovers to go. I showed the waitress a fly in my food. She told me the fly must’ve landed on my plate when I went to the bathroom. Offered to pick it out before she packed my food! I declined. No apologies or alternative was offered. She simply brought out my bill and walked off.
I have been eating at this restaurant for a decade. The food is outstanding, fresh, and prepared with the most magic blending of spices. Truly authentic tastes and inventive dishes are to be found. The real secret sleeper on the menu is the Tom Yum soup, perhaps the best I have had anywhere including Thailand. The owner is such a wonderful lady and always takes time to chat. I recommend this restaurant to anyone it is my personal favorite
