We experienced very poor service and this restaurant and so did the table next to us. Our waiter told us he “forgot about us.” And forgot to deliver and entree to the table next to us. They, then, ordered it to go. As they walked out with their bag of food to go, the waiter butted in front of us to catch up to them and took the food back because he had delivered the wrong food to them. Left a 10% tip and will not come back.

The food and service were great. I started with the pretzel bites, which tasted fresh and came out hot. The main was the Chicken and Wadfles. Also very good. They have a great selection of beers and also a killer Bloody Mary.

Interestingly, our group of 6ppl had a similar experience last week as did other reviewers. The worst service we experienced in a restaurant yet. Server did not care about our table at all. She was into cleaning other tables rather than bringing our check... strange and it was not even very busy. Had to get her attention for everything. Mushroom pizza was ok but Margarita pizza was subpar, no taste nor flavor...like it was microwaved.
Soup was good but the overall restaurant visit was such that none of us will go back for dinner, maybe just drinks.
Hopefully management can help with training staff about customer service to avoid more bad service reviews.

My friends and I dined here for the first time tonight and it was genuinely the worst service we’ve ever had. I feel bad saying that but it’s true. We sat without service for 10 minutes, then the drinks we ordered took a long time. We ordered nachos as an appetizer, they took 35 minutes to come out. We had to ask the hostess to take the menus off our table. There was no bussing, we had empty glasses and dishes on our table the entire night. We had to ask the hostess for a second round of drinks. Two entrees came out, and the waitress asked us how everything was. But, unfortunately the other two of us had to wait an additional 20 minutes for our entrees (salads with chicken) to come out, so the four of us finished at different times. We had to ask for takeout boxes and the check. Two of us are waitresses so we are familiar with the serving process, and it just seemed like this server didn’t hit any of the boxes. Also, we felt this warranted a review because her family / friends were there and they received much better service than us. They arrived after us, all of their food came on time, and received to go boxes while we were still waiting for our food. She hugged them and they left before us. It was unfair that our dining experience took two hours because of poor service. Imagine if we had been in a rush. The manager was very nice and the food was good.

Tables were UNCOMFORTABLY close. we were making a joke about how someone would be sat at the table next to us while we were on a first date (the table was basically in my lap) and then they sat someone there 🥴.
Tables around us that were sat way after us were served dinner first …
Pizza tasted like microwave pizza. 🍕Chicken parm sandwich came out cold and burnt.
Restaurant was severely overpriced for how the food tasted !

🐭🐭🐭🐭🐭🐭🐭cherry on top was a mouse ran out into the dining room like it lived there. i almost died in my seat when i saw it. would of gave it some of the 20$ personal microwave pizza if it didn’t leave so fast.

espresso martini was very smooth and made well i just personally prefer a more cream based one.

waitresses and waiters were very nice, nothing was their fault!

Would not come back to eat again, i’d only go here for a drink at the bar (if that)

It was our first time visiting and we were really excited. The Cobb salad and breakfast poutine were ordered. The Cobb salad was average and the poutine was supposed to have gravy on it and it was water. The manager did make it right by taking it back and giving me a different dish but it was not comped and generally in my experience it is comped.

The waitress complained about needing to get the manager for everything such as music volume and codes for the mug club and checking in. It was clear there was drama.

Would not recommend when prairie fire is right down the road and 10 times better and equally priced.

Very nice restaurant, however with a group of 6 people we got seated in the basement with no other customers and then a band started playing preventing conversation. Would not have made the reservation had we known it was not in the main restaurant immediately adjacent to the band.

Our first time visiting the Garrison house. We just stopped by for drinks. Positively surprised. They have a lot of events downstairs and live music on Thursday and Saturday, comedy on Sunday. Brunch Saturday and Sunday. They have a good selection of beers and they even have a pitcher. The food we didn't try but looked good visually. Bar menu was pretty good. Certainly will try to have lunch/dinner there in the near future.

The Garrison House is a nice restaurant in Brookline for a night out. We made reservations the night prior and were able to easily book a time that was convenient. During our night there in August, they had the large windows open, which is nice when the weather isn't too bad out.

The food arrived very quickly and wasn't bad, but didn't stand out too much. For the quality of the food, it may be a little overpriced. The pizza was slightly bland, but the burger had a nice sauce for flavor and was cooked correctly. It's definitely worth checking out, but you may end up paying a little more for less. Our total bill for an appetizer and two entrees was around $65.
