Our waiter Elvin was super nice and helpful in explaining the menu to us as it was our first time. He was accommodating in swapping out the dessert for us as we didn't want the one that came with the set menu we selected. He consistently checked on us as well as the manager Wilson. Food was delicious and came out at a good pace. The cocktails were also pretty good! They came and sang "Happy Birthday" as well which was nice. Would definitely come back!

Made a trip to Boston to celebrate my mother's birthday. Surprised her by taking her to one of her favorite restaurants, Gyu Kaku. Our server Julie was the icing on the cake! She was absolutely amazing! She was super upbeat and friendly. Her attentiveness and attention to detail was second to none. My mom was overjoyed by her experience which, in turn, made me a very happy customer. I highly recommend this location. And when you go, ask for Julie!

As always the food here is delicious. The problem was the service. Our server brought everything out all at once instead of staggering the dishes like they usually do. The tables are small and we could not fit all that we had ordered on the table at once. We were stuck fumbling and stacking plates precariously. He also never cleared any of the empty dishes so there was no relief from the clutter. It was also difficult to get our servers attention to order more beer. It looked like they were understaffed and undertrained. I overheard our server ask the two top next to move to another table after they already had drinks and ordered their food because there was a walk in 8 top they wanted to squeeze in there. They should have made the walk in table wait. It was extremely rude. Then our server refused to split the bill three ways which wasn't a huge deal, but then he started asking us if we had the toast app on our phones so we could figure out the math of 1/3 and 2/3. It was a pain.

The business did not honor our reservations at all. We were informed after 30 minutes of waiting past our reservation they would not be able to seat us for 2 hours after our booked reservation because they did not have any tables available. I was then additionally told we would receive a text message when there actually was an available table for us. We were reassured of this twice. No text was sent to us for the rest of the night. This experience reflects extremely poor and untrustworthy business practices. Never before have I made a reservation at a restaurant and then been flat out denied seating or service for the entire night. They offered zero apology or compensation, let alone even an explanation for the error. Not a business you want to go to if you want to be on time anywhere, or apparently eat food for that matter.
