The croissants were so delicious. They always have a line but they were so worth it. Even with the long lines their service was quick and I did not have to wait long. The hardest part is not buying everything

Obviously beautiful croissants! I loved that you could call and order ahead for pickup, but we still ended up having to wait in line with everyone else to grab. The place is so small you can’t really fit in, I wish it was bigger so you could sit and enjoy! The ham & cheese croissant was my fave, but crème brûlée a close 2nd! Our cookie croissant was delish, but it was a little brown and toasty for my liking.

Went here because social media recommended it. The sweets had so much potential, however, I feel like some sweets (especially the croissants) should be heated when ordered. I ordered the yuzu croissant, the mocha croissant & creme brulee croissant & I would have enjoyed them a lot more if they were warmed up prior to serving. Also- Really small place, so nowhere to sit.

Delicious pastries and coffee!! We've had their cheesecake, macarons, croissant cubes, flavored croissants, espresso, and macchiatos. Their pastries are unique and inventive and nothing is ever too sweet (they seem to have perfected their sweet to buttery ratio). Their espresso is also soo delicious - we're hoping they sell beans that we can pick up the next time we stop by!Also, all of these negative reviews are WILD. I've never had a bad experience the multiple times I've visited and we're spoiled to have this gem within walking distance in Brookline... Lakon and the people that work there are wonderful and it's a shame their rating is as low as it is on here

The pastries look better than their taste. It's not the best croissants, but pretty good still. Don't order coffee if you know what real coffee means. Cappuccino had milk and water taste and a light taste of coffee. Coffee was awful ?

Despite the bad reviews, I really liked my experience here. Warning, this place is super small and takeout only. Since it's really popular, we were practically shoulder to shoulder with other people ordering and waiting to pick up. I picked the pistachio croissant and iced americano. Iced americano was standard. The pistachio croissant is one of the best I've tried if you love pistachio. It has real pistachio cream and ganache on top, but still was so flaky. There's not many places where you can find pistachio desserts that's not overdone with the artificial extracts. It costs almost $10 so it's not something I'd get everyday, but I plan on returning and would like to try their other desserts
I'm a sucker for novelty items if you couldn't tell from my last review about the hot chocolate ring croissant. This time I came back for the chocolate flat croissant. Once again, the idea isn't original; Lakon is just hopping on the viral train. However, that didn't stop me from wanting it. It was $7.50 and tasted exactly how you would imagine: a dry, burnt croissant. 2/5 for taste, but it did get oddly addicting to crunch on. I also couldn't resist picking up a milk cream peach cube ($9.50). The croissant was not as flaky or buttery as it could have been, but the peach was fresh, and the filling was good. Not worth the price, though. I arrived 10 minutes after opening and had to wait in a line this time, but I was still in and out within 15 minutes. I feel like most places either have good food or good-LOOKING food; the rare few have both. Lakon definitely excels at presentation, but the quality is just not good enough to justify the prices.

Is this an aesthetic, instagram-y place? Yes. Does it take away from the quality of the food? Absolutely not. While definitely pricey, this bakery lived up to its display with solid items that had good flavor. the tomato danish was absolutely amazing and the peach cream croissant and butter croissant were sooo good! Even though it was busy, you can get in and out within 20 minutes. Would go back!

Did not think that $5 for a plain croissant was a good value. And I wasn't impressed with the taste and texture either. Just OK.

I seen this place on Instagram a few years back and knew I had to try when I visited again. I tried as much as possible. 2 breakfast sandwiches, the ham and cheese and turkey pesto I devoured before even taking a picture. It was so flaky I regretted not getting more. The pastries I got was the chocolate cube, blueberry circle, and pistachio croissant. Idk what other people didn't like about them, but I had eaten them a day later and it was great. The flavor to the texture was awesome. My least favorite was the pistachio but I'd still give it an 8/10 strictly for consistency. Everything else I tried was 10/10. The customer service was great. Can't wait to come back.
