Good evening,
I have been a loyal customer at this restaurant for about two years, and I truly enjoy the food here. That’s why I was surprised and disappointed by what happened during my last visit.
The service from our waiter that day was not ideal. We tried to get her attention several times, but she did not approach us even though she saw us. I chose to leave a tip below 10% (it was a party of 2 people, check was 60-70 dollars and I left 6 dollars) reflecting my dissatisfaction with the service. Normally, I always tip generously (18-20%) because I value this place.
What shocked me was that after paying, one of the waiters opened the bill in front of me, my panther and other guests sitting right next to us, and scolded me publicly for leaving a lower tip. I explained the reason why I was giving low tips this time thinking this may help improve their service next time but instead after I explained I was pressured, in front of everyone, to pay at least 15%. This was humiliating and not the way such matters should be handled.
I want to make it very clear: I do not want the restaurant to take any negative actions against this waiter. On the contrary, perhaps their frustration comes from the difficulty of relying so heavily on tips. I hope management considers improving wages so staff do not feel pressured to act this way. Customers should never be shamed in public, and employees should not feel that their livelihood depends on pressuring diners.
I share this because I care about this restaurant and hope my feedback helps improve both the customer experience and the staff’s work environment. Unfortunately, me nor my family won’t be going there again.

Absolutely love this place. The broths are so flavorful and the choices for meat and veggies are great. They are always so kind and tolerant of my two year old who can be very roudy at times.

Hidden gem for sure — quality stuff for the price.
Amazing 10/10 recommend. $28/person AYCE for lunch Mon-Sun 11:30-4:30pm. The soup bases and options are delicious and I was FULL by the end. Excellent service and great sauce. This is gonna be my new go-to hot pot, can’t beat the price and location and quality.
