This was hands down one of the worst sushi experiences I’ve ever had. The fish tasted off, and some pieces had a sour smell—definitely not fresh. After just a few bites, I started feeling queasy. It’s shocking that a restaurant would serve something like this.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. It’s not worth the risk

We ordered sushi from this place today, and it was a complete disaster. The fish was not fresh—some pieces even smelled off—and after just a few bites, I started feeling unwell. This was beyond disappointing; it was downright concerning.
To make matters worse, when we called to address the issue, the person on the phone showed zero accountability and simply told us to contact Uber Eats, as if they had nothing to do with preparing the food. A responsible restaurant should stand by the quality of what they serve, not pass the blame.
If you value your health, I strongly recommend staying far away from this place.

We ordered food via ubereats there was metal in the tuna, salmon was spoiled and even the salad was as if it was sitting out all day the lady offered me 2 free rolls in the future saying they were busy and the chef had to improvise what’s that suppose to mean?… awful awful awful experience I am going to order from Fins next time. Shrimp Tempura was good though…

I stopped by this place on a Sunday afternoon. It was the first warm day in a while so we were the only patrons in the restaurant. For a tiny place, it sure packs a punch. The sushi and rolls we ordered were so wonderful. The fish was so fresh and delicious. Service was kind and friendly. If you are in the neighborhood, definitely stop in.

We drive from another part of town to get here, since our local spot is really... not great fish and too much cream cheese etc. anyway...
At Maluken, they are also really receptive to swaps on the party platters (we just don't like imitation crab...) we get almost the same order every time and they know us now. Will keep returning!!

stopped by this place as i was walking by and dined in with a friend. we shared the sushi. valentines roll was really good, so was the cosmo. i could kill ten of the onigiris. super filling and tasty. service was very nice and everything tasted fresh. no major complaints, its worth a visit if you're nearby, hungry, and want something light.
Stopped in for a late lunch. Got a Hawaii maki roll, side of white rice, and the pork buns. The sushi roll was really good. Nice textures and flavors. White rice wasn’t amazing. Wouldn’t get it unless u need a good cheap void filler. Their soy sauce was good. Helped with the rice. I’d pass on the pork buns. The sauces used on them were the only good part about them. Service was good. Nice interior too, was well kept. Overall, I’d go here again for the sushi if I was walking by.

Food is really tasty, I have eaten here about 3 times the first two were ok but this last one got me poisoned so bad, just right after. I could’ve done 1 star but I never leave bad reviews, only two places have gotten me this sick : Maluken and Dos amigos taqueria in Coolidge corner

As a semi-regular takeout customer from this place and sometimes in-house diner, the sushi and sashimi here are delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff are nice, service is quick, and the dining space is comfortable.

My husband and I were so pleased with our meal here during our stay in Boston! Lovely service, and EXCELLENT food for the price. You can tell how much pride they take in their restaurant. Our meal was about half the cost of other sushi places, but better than what I’ve had in a long time! My husband got the chicken ramen (the broth was incredible) and I got a sushi combo, which came with a small salad, miso soup, and a drink. The sushi was wonderful, and the rice was seasoned perfectly and so soft and fresh. If we’re ever in the neighborhood again, we know where we’re going for lunch!
