If you ever are in the Brighton Brookline area, you have to try Mamaleh’s at least once. If my partner and I could come every day, we would!! Everyone who works here is so friendly, the atmosphere is wonderful and cheery, and the food is delicious. Build a bagel and get the sable, you won’t regret it. So much love to Mamaleh’s!! Eat local!!

In nice weather you can sit and people and dog watch. In fact, you can have breakfast or lunch with your pet at a sidewalk table. Inside, seating is limited and can be loud at times but the staff is friendly, the newspaper is free, and the food is good.

Kid-friendliness: Family atmosphere, inside and outside.

Wheelchair accessibility: A wheelchair can enter but the doors are not automatic. There are two doors at a 90-degree angle that both open out. Usually, there is enough space to maneuver to the counter.

Had sandwich at B&D’s former location, now Mamaleh’s. Will not return.
“Took-out” 2 containers of frozen soups. I only remember the lentil soup. The other was also forgettable.
Truly a low-maintenance eatery. Sloppy appearance. Pretentious, over-priced, fair-wage surcharge mandated; appealing to “liberal consciousness”.
The “bakery” items seemed frozen-esque, just assembled, confections.
Too many owners re-couping their investment.
Would not recommend to anyone.

Pastrami sandwich was excellent. I'd like to try the Pastrami with Chopped Liver next. You really have to order the large size sandwich with get the full experience. Pickle was added bonud.

Delicious! Best bagels and lox in Boston area. We can’t get enough of this place. Always a treat.

Only the bagel menu is barely worth the price. The rest sadly is not.

Hummus sandwich cucumbers radish was superb! More lactose-ovo options. Daughter said egg salad sandwich was good. Didn’t ask if any baked items were vegan. Sesame tahini cookie and mandel bread (like biscotti) were yummy. Non-veg members of our party were happy with 50/50 sandwich and nova lox. Hurray for Cel-Ray soda, hard to find.

Beware of the 10% Fair wage surcharge they add on your bill without any notification and NOT mention when asking for a tip when you payout…… I should have not tipped based on this deceitful act!!!! Service was normal nothing g exceptional

I left my glasses on the table outside and realized it later. When I walked back my glasses were behind the counter waiting for me. That’s a Good Place.

This place is a gem in Washington square. The food and service were outstanding and the variety of frozen goods satisfies any desires. If you are looking for bagels or sandwiches in Washington square this is the place to go.

Shame, I like the food. But never going back. I wager 1/3 of my takeout orders have had at least one thing wrong with them. And while that’s annoying, it’s actually very serious when it comes to food allergies, which I have. They are either unwilling or unable to practice the normal safe guards that many restaurants manage successfully, despite theoretically having a protocol.

coffee and bagels are fine the restaurant business is too old and outdated meaning the interior the food quality more distasteful like 1980s again. plenty of options all over though
