Terrible, stingy restaurant stay away. When you walk in its like a library dead quiet no music and a bunch of old people. The food is cooked frozen food they heat up in 5 mins and they barely give you any meat with any of the dishes. Got chicken lo mein and it was mostly noodles. And the drinks have no trace of alcohol just straight Juice and ice. They must be trying to ration things there or something. Do not go.

Got take out and was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. Hot and soup was perfect (not too thick, not too soy saucey) and the family style tofu was on point. Will definitely start frequently as my go to Chinese spot.

Server was borderline rude and were rushing us to make our order. Server seemed impatient when there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Two blue moons two moons one or one shut down, shut down, shut down

I love this place, the basil fried rice is really good. The spicy tofu chow foon was really good too. And also the drinks are great - My favorites are (1) the top gun, (2) the suffering b. and (3) the pearl harb are the best.

Excellent food
Downhill big time … Benny ran a fantastic restaurant… since he left not even close
They don’t do platters so it’s sucks for a lot of people that like platters
We’ve been going to this Chinese food place for years. The reason is it’s higher quality that most other places around the food is quick to come out and the service is always great. They have a bathroom and it is accessible. The parking lot is huge and I’ve never seen it full so you have plenty of places to park you can enter through two roads. So it’s a quick In-N-Out. I’ve gotta say in all the years going there. I don’t think they’ve ever messed up my order although funny story back in the day when we went there years ago to eat inside which we used to do a lot I was cut off not from drinking alcohol but from drinking soda it’s a funny story that we still remember till this day. The guy was worried about my health and said three sodas is too much for you even back then when it was by the can and I was paying for each individual drink, but even eating inside is nice. They’ve always been very nice and accommodating.

I’m going to take a break from this place. I’ve been a customer for many years and never had a complaint before until the last time I was here. Our waiter didn’t offer Tea (they used to bring tea to the table, maybe I should’ve asked…), we ordered appetizers and he brought us the fried rice along..hello…I had to ask him to take it back because we were going to eat our appetizers first, right? You don’t need to rush, right? Then we saw one of the restaurant servers holding a take out bag and picking her nose right on front of us!! She wiped her finger on her apron. I couldn’t believe my eyes!!! Sorry, but the person who runs this restaurant needs to train the employees!! We don’t plan to be back. Terrible experience.
Love this place, my go to local
The food is very good and the service is good. The only thing I would do differently is when I order the Pupu platter I would definitely ask that all the food come out at the same time...we almost finished the pups platter before the rest of the food came out. But overall, it's a great place.
Had one of the luncheon specials, and it was delicious. The hot and sour soup, chicken wings, and General Tsao’s Chicken were all excellent. My wife had the beef with broccoli, and was very happy with her dish too. Yummy meal at a good price — we’ll definitely be coming back.
I picked up 5 lunches on a Friday for family and friends visiting our mom nearby. The Mandarin Gourmet was always one of her favorite restaurants. The food was clearly good quality and fresh, and yet, sad to say, the restaurant is not what it used to be. The food was remarkably bland. Despite the variety of dishes we had, they were more or less indiscernible. There was no seasoning, scant flavor-- "insipid" as our mother put it. She ordered the egg foo young with chicken. It was mostly onion. Not one of the five dishes stood out. All around, a solid C! Still a decent though expensive solution if you want to pick up prepared food that you can take home and season to your liking.
