Honestly this place deserves at least a 4.5. Though I’ve only had the breakfast, the food is consistently very good. The eggs are always cooked exactly how I asked, the bacon is crispy and the home fries are always delicious. My coffee is refilled multiple times. The service is friendly and fast. It just feels like a classic, cozy diner. Worth the price in my opinion.
Such a delicious little neighborhood spot! We just moved to the area and can tell this will become a regular brunch spot for us. It is a low-key diner feel; kind of small but decent capacity, and it seems the turnover is efficient. We got the Albanian Breakfast and the Figs in a Blanket French toast and both were so flavorful! Prices are typical for Boston; with our 2 entrees and 2 coffees, it ended up being like $60 w/ tip.
Strong diner - I’d give it 4.5 or 4.75 stars. The food is incredible — clear Portuguese inspiration on eggs, sausage, veggies, starches…so good. Service is meh, but the language barrier drives a lot of it. Atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in an episode or diners, drive-ins, and dives—it’s packed but with good energy. Brookline leaves much to be desired in the breakfast realm—martins is an exception
