I’m a little hesitant to give this rating because I thought it was a nice joint but was prompted for a review so am providing it with a few stars off.We stopped by here for an event next door and with the wet weather came here to grab a bite. Nice atmosphere and without a reservation was fortunate to get seated within minutes. The pod came pretty quickly to and was nicely presented. I had the Kimchi fried rice. My family had the noodles. I enjoyed my meal and thought it was great. However, later that night, I was so uncomfortable and ended up throwing it all up. Perhaps there was something I. The food that doesn’t agree with my stomach or something else but thought fried rice was a generally safe bet. I don’t have a sensitive stomach and eat out quite frequently. It took a few days to recover and considering that was my only meal of the day at the time, can’t think of anything else. My family was fine with their dishes so difficult to determine the issue.

My second visit to Mecha Noodle Bar was as enjoyable as the first. Initially, I dined at their Seaport location, which was fantastic. This time, I went with friends to the Brookline branch. It's a tad smaller than the Seaport spot but still spacious enough for groups. We only had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes, which was reasonable. Plus, there's a fantastic bookstore nearby where you can pass the time while waiting! We all opted for ramen, and it didn't disappoint in terms of portion size and satisfaction. I went for the spicy miso ramen, which was bursting with flavor. I always add tamago which is aways a great choice; it complemented the dish perfectly. I highly recommend adding an egg to your noodles! For appetizers, we indulged in dumplings, pork baos, and edamame, and they were all incredibly delicious. The pork belly baos, in particular, stood out; the pork belly was incredibly tender. Overall, Mecha Noodle Bar is an excellent choice for a romantic date or a casual meal with friends.

The soups are consistently delicious across the board from the wonton noodle soup to the pho to the ramen! My experience with the service has always been great! Today we got two ramen bowls, wonton noodle soup, and the coconut shrimp baos.

I had a wonderful time at Mecha, the atmosphere is nice and the food was wonderful. I will definitely be coming back to try some more stuff. My partner and I ate the KFC and Pork Belly Bao buns, both were really good but I feel like the pork belly ones were worth the price more. We also ordered the red oil dumplings which had great flavor and they were filled to the brim with meat and shrimp. For drinks we ordered bobas, one Thai milk tea and one mango. The Thai milk tea was nice, can’t complain, the boba has amazing texture but not that much flavor in my opinion. The mango boba was very refreshing and I liked the fact that it had a bit of a sour taste to it. For the main course we had pho which we were blown away by. I got the Pho Sizzle with ribs and marrow oil. The original already comes with about 4 giant cubes of soft and delicious pieces of meat so adding more was a bit much on my part but the ribs were also very tasty. My favorite part was the broth. Amazing flavor, refreshing, light and great to have on a cold day. We had a great server, and the staff seemed very nice. My only complaint would be the seats, after sitting for a bit, they did become uncomfortable. But overall a great experience, can’t wait to stop by again soon.

SO LOUD. Server told us volume is preset and cannot be lowered. This was for lunch on a weekday, but music was pumping like the club on Friday night. Forget about having a conversation.Service on two visits was nice but very erratic. And did I mention--SO LOUD.Unfortunately, won't be back.
