I ordered 2 Chicken kabob wrap thru DoorDash and what I received us soggy wrap with literally 2 huge chunks of chicken and lot of lettuce. I had asked for onion and even laid extra for it there were no onions. Clearly it was not kabob and just some dry chicken made wet with lot of sauce. Very

Trash food, don’t go here the bad reviews are true. They microwave their ingredients, falafel dry as sand, stale re-heated bread, and unseasoned meat. Babaganoush and hummus was good.

Not Shawarma...Wet chicken with yogurt instead of garlic sauce and the hot sauce tastes like tomatoes. Not a surprise considering the staff is Mexican.

I went here with some relatives that were visiting from out of town. We love middle eastern food and specifically Lebanese food and frequently go to Lebanese restaurants back home. The quality and taste at shawarma king, especially for the price, is severely lacking. The best thing we had was the babaganough, which was smoky and well seasoned. The rest of the food, however, was extremely bland and mediocre. I had the lamb and beef shawarma plate, and the meat tasted more like bbq brisket than shawarma. They clearly didn’t use enough of the classic shawarma spices, and didn’t even use enough salt to keep the meat from being bland. At $20 for the plate, I feel ripped off. Not to mention the portion was considerably smaller than that of Boston shawarma on Huntington. The staff was very friendly and efficient, but it seems like their cooks have a few things to learn about how to use middle eastern spices. I would recommend just about any other shawarma restaurant over this one. Save your money

Not good. Not sure what sauce was used but it leaked out the wrap and overall the taste was lacking.

The chicken shawarma plate was a sour chicken soup instead of shawarma. The rice amount was small. The pickles were low quality soft instead of vinegar crunchy pickles. The waiter and waitress were friendly. The garlic sauce was sour the hot sauce was sour.

I come in for lunch with a local friend.. we both ordered a separate lunch plates. Since I have to be gluten free and wasn't in the mood for meat, I went with the eggplant and chickpeas dish ... Sadly, their rice has pasta noodles mixed in, so rice was not an option for my lunch plate. I really didn't enjoy the fattoush side salad as it had mint, which I like yet this salad, was tasteless, off putting and dull. I didn't like the chickpea dish either ... I should have ordered something else, yet, between not being able to order the rice given that it had pasta in it, and not enjoying the salad or the chickpea dish, I ended up eating 3 pieces of eggplant on the chickpea dish and a few pickle strips it came with.... Very disappointing for the $16 I paid+ tip . My friend ordered a chicken shawarma, and didn't like it either. She ordered Baklava to take home and found that it was not out in the bag as part of her take home order. When she came to ask the owner about it, he made her feel as if she was lying and doubted her request to get what she paid for. Really bad customer service on their part! All in all, it was not a good experience. I would not recommend spending our money on Shawarma king in Brookline. I would much rather had gone to Lemon and garlic in Brighton. Much better options and service. M.

This used to be a great place for fresh falafel, but it has gone way downhill. Got a falafel sandwich and was very disappointed. The falafel tasted like a bad mix, the pita was stale, the tahini non-existent. We also got a small humus which was mediocre at best, served with more stale pita. The grape leaves were the only thing that seemed ok. I hadn't been back for a few years, and won't be returning. All in all, completely over-priced for poor quality food.

Way overpriced and terrible service. The lentil soup, which costs $7, is served in a little paper bowl. The Hummus, which is good, costs $1.59, and comes in a really small plastic see-through container.

I really love their vegetable moussaka but last couple times I ordered the plate it barely had any moussaka and it was mostly rice and side salad, paying $19 for this is definitely not worth it

Been coming here since about 2003. Still the best damn shawarma I've ever had! And I love the cocktail juice as well. Not much of a dining experience- more of a to go spot but it's so damn good!

Just stopped here on a whim since I was looking for some food, and my was I surprised about how good the food was. I got a falafel pita with spicy sauce(recommeded) and it was perfect. Hit the spot and also the size was very very good for the 10$. The owner was super nice and gave me a sample falafel too how cool is that. Very simple and clean place ", has some chairs and tables to sit down. But the food is authentic and tasty.
