Overpriced. Cocktails and food were ok but not worth price. Their machine also calculated tip on tax and not subtotal.

Really cool spot, super unique flavours. Some of the things we ordered were a bit too intense for me, but I absolutely loved the house eggplant with chicken

We visited Blossom Bar on a Saturday evening a couple of weeks ago, and had a great experience. Cocktails were fantastic, and the drinks menu was really interesting. In terms of food, personally I’m not a huge lover of Sichuan peppercorn but I can generally enjoy it in moderation. My dish (kung pao chicken) had a little too much Sichuan peppercorn for my taste - but to be fair there were some options on the menu that didn’t have any in it, so it was a poor choice from me. My SO loved my dish and his own, as he doesn’t mind a stronger peppercorn flavor. Service was great and overall it was a good experience - I would definitely go back and try ordering something else.

If your looking for extremely salty, spicy food with no nuance or balance, then you'll love this spot.

Will never come back because of the service. The night started out great with cocktails and great food. After 7pm, the restaurant started getting full and it seemed like they may have been understaffed as the waiter didn’t even look at our table when we tried to get our check. Had to wait more than 30 minutes to finally get the waiter’s attention, only to receive a gesture from him to wait. We waited another 10 minutes, and I had to go up to him to ask for a check because we couldn’t wait any longer. I wanted to explain why I had to come up because I also saw that he’s busy and felt bad. So I tried to explain that we’ve been waiting for a while and had to leave. He started with “I’ll be right there.” As soon as I said “Can we get our check? we’ve been waiting…” he interrupted and said, “like I said, I’ll be right there.” I just thought he was busy and stressed, so I returned to my table. Then when he came to our table, you could tell he’s mad by the way he’s taking dishes. Not a single word or whatsoever and threw our check on the table. At this point, I debated whether I should tip 20%. When he came back for the payment, still not a single word. I still tipped 20% but will never be returning. Also, while we’re waiting for 40 mins for our check, he seemed busy but seemed to also have some time to take a shot of alcohol with customers from another table. What a way to ruin our evening.

Higher prices but good quality: both tofu mushrooms crepe and pea pod stems were kind of oily but it’s expected in a Chinese restaurant. We also got the vegetarian summer rolls, also fried and oily.

Have only had drinks here, and while pricy, they earn their keep with some of the most unique and exciting cocktails you might come across in Boston. Look the menu over and make a decision based on what makes you the most curious or sounds the strangest and you won’t be disappointed. These are exciting drinks that are complex and appealing, sophisticated even if a little wild. Just like those pink flamingos they have in the corner— are they winking at you?

The cocktail that blew my mind on this last visit was the “Con Cariño” … which apparently takes three days to make and is then carbonated the day of service. It’s served up, in a chilled glass that is coiled with a pandan leaf to add another layer of sultry, nutty aroma to the experience. It was the kind of drink that stays alive until the very last sip and I am still thinking about it days later.

Hats off to the bartenders who invented this drink, and who continue to wrestle it into existence every night of the week!

Blossom is always a pretty lively scene, the bar is very popular and noisy and you might have to wait for a seat (it’s first come first served) but generally the wait is not too long. I have never waited longer than 10 or 15 min for a seat at the bar, even on weekends.

The decor is tropical-pop-punk, with a huge Frida Kahlo reproduction on the wall, a disco ball from the ceiling, palm trees for wall paper, and aforementioned flamingos peeking out from every corner. The servers all wear aloha shirts :)

We visited Blossom Bar at Sichuan Garden while in town from out of state. On a Thursday evening, my daughter and I were seated outside and decided to make it an adventure — we told our waitress, “You know the menu, curate a dinner that shows off your best dishes.” She brought us a drink and took our order, which ended up being some sort of dumplings, Dan Dan noodles, hot chicken, fried rice, a beef dish, and a variation on an old fashioned.

Here’s where things took a turn: shortly after taking our order, our waitress… left the restaurant. Literally. The food runner brought out the dishes but didn’t explain what anything was, so we weren’t totally sure what we were eating. No one ever came by to check on us, refill our water (which you really need with spicy food), or ask if we wanted another drink. By the time someone finally asked if we wanted another round, we were already done eating. When we asked where our waitress was, we were told she had gone home early.

The food itself was solid — tasty enough, but nothing that really wowed us, especially for the price. Honestly, the drinks seemed to be the strongest part of the experience, but I only got to try one before we were left on our own.

Not the worst night out, but definitely not the service or standout flavors we were hoping for.

Food is great, would definitely be back, but would never sit at the bar again for dinner. The girl bartender waiting on us was pretty nice but jeeeez so unprofessional it blew our minds. Our dirty plates sat there all night through each course while she just yapped super loud with her friend and ignored us, and she was cussing up a storm LOUD and telling gross slutty stories it made us all very uncomfortable, I can’t believe the lack of training in a place so nice with such high prices.

Very strange to arrive with a reservation and be greeted, spoken to, sat, given water and promises of a server momentarily, and only THEN be told that we were not welcome there since we had an additional person in our party (which we told the the staff openly and politely immediately upon arrival). I’m surprised that we weren’t accommodated despite us being flexible and honest. If you can’t accommodate, though, clear is kind. This was neither.

I understand if a restaurant can’t accommodate an additional guest. But I think it would be best to let the party know directly as soon as possible, rather than make faces, only to turn them away after seating them.
Two stars because they did tell us eventually rather than let us suffer through a meal with the passive aggressive host.
(There was no shortage of seats.)
