I can't review the full dinner menu and tapas, as I only came here for the bar, but I did want to leave a review because it was a great evening. From 5-7pm Monday through Saturday, the bar does $2 oysters, and my partner and I had a whopping 24! We went on a Thursday evening and the atmosphere was great - not too loud or crowded, but not dead either. The service was amazing as well - the oysters came almost immediately after we ordered them and when we ordered the Sherry flight, the staff gave us a great explanation of each of the 4 drinks before leaving us to our food and drink. Oysters ($2 each) - I'm not usually a huge fan of oysters, but these were different from a lot of the others I've had in the past. They were slightly briny, but they also had a really sweet aftertaste that made them really pleasant to eat. They were served with lemon and also a little cup of vinegar - both options were good but I preferred the lemon. We started with 12 oysters and ordered a second dozen when we realized how good they were! Sherry flight ($30) - I had never had sherry before, but this was quite pleasant. The flight came with 4 different sherries and 2 croquetas which were tasty and filled with ham and bechamel. The filling was a bit dense, but not necessarily a bad thing. The four sherries were as follows, and my reviews are coming from someone who does not know much about sherry but enjoyed each one: - Manzanilla La Cigarrera - This was a light one with a very light alcohol taste. It paired nicely with the oysters. - Fino el Granero - This one had a slightly stronger alcohol taste to it, but it also paired nicely with the oysters. - Amontillado Rare Escuadrilla - This one tasted like a red blend and was my favorite of the four. It was nice to sip on after eating the oysters. - Olorosso East India Solera - This one was my partners favorite and tasted sweet. It almost had a taste like raisins, but it was quite pleasant. The order also came with bread, though I'm not sure if it was the drinks or the oysters that triggered the bread. The bread was nice, but they did not offer butter with it. Instead, you could have olive oil, but it was a fancy olive oil so there was a charge. We opted to just eat the bread by itself and it was nice - crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. All in all, this was a bit of an expensive night (we did eat a lot though!) but it was well worth it. I do know there are $1 oysters around Boston, but $2 oysters near our home is also a great deal. The sherry flight was nice to try, but I'd also like to try their gin and gin mixed drinks, as they are known for both their sherry and gin. I give this a strong 4/5 and we will definitely be back!

Nice cozy spot. We were a party of 3. The table was a little awkward in the main walkway but overall, we had a good experience. The croquets came out immediately and were delicious. Frog legs were tasty as were the Spanish sausages. We ordered the chicken paella. It came out on time. Tasty but not a lot of crisp to the rice and we missed the addition of chorizo and/or shrimp to the dish. Good size pour on the drinks. Second glass of wine that was ordered was never delivered but we were not charged. Hostess staff was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived.

Taberna de Haro always presents the best of authentic Spanish cuisine and wine with love and customer engagement. I am glad that the new owner will continue the tradition and that founder Deborah Hansen will continue to curate the superlative wine list!

Fun and wonderful evening. Great service, we had the clams, pork skewers, and langoustines, a bottle of wine and left feeling like we spent the evening in Madrid! A gem in Brookline.

Had an early dinner so the restaurant was quiet, but when we left it was getting lively. Bar looked amazing. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Ordered about 10 small plates. Eggplant dish was superb, as were all of the vegetable dishes, including a flatbread with onions. All portions were large, unusual for a tapas restaurant. Meat dishes we ordered were not properly cooked. The duck was overcooked and tough, and the pork skewers were overdone on the outside and underdone on the inside. Would like to try again to get a better sense of whether this was unusual because most dishes were very good.

First off the location was great. The restaurant was cozy and dark. The drink selection was great and the one my wife got was awesome. As for the food I would say it is a bit overrated and a bit pricy for the quality and amount you get. We got the calamari which was good and the veal and butter bread was ok nothing great. Lastly We got the squid ink paella and it was a total disappointment. It was way to salty and not much going on in the dish it self with just a few pieces of calamari You would have to try it to see what I'm talking about.

This is a lovely place, low lighting and quiet. (So low lighting that needed cell phone light to read the menu :) ) Somewhat limited menu. Lamb chop was excellent with tasty sauce, but the duck was overcooked and dry with a nondescript sauce; they should know better than to dry out duck. Only one beer on the menu. A very nice ambiance but we will not rush to go back again.

Service was not friendly and tapas were average. We were disappointed.

Every single dish we got was outstanding, including dessert! The decor is really cool, service was friendly and attentive, and the whole place smells amazing. There's a reason this place has won so many awards!

The food and wine are at the top of the list in greater Boston for Spanish food and tapas. At least as good is the very gracious service and attention to the experience the staff and owner prove. Highly recommended.

TdH is always fun and delicious. It's the real deal on Spanish dishes. The service is great. The cocktails are super creative and tasty, including their NA drinks, and the Spanish wine selection is the best in the USA.

As always, Taberna de Haro was a great dining experience---the tapas and raciones were lovely, especially the mushrooms with egg on top, the codfish balls, the artichokes, and the large toasts with cheese on top---one of our group had the lamb shank and wouldn't stop raving about---it looked great but he didn't share----Deborah chose a great Rioja for us---she is masterful with her Spanish wines----lucky to have her and this terrific restaurant.

This restaurant has been in business for decades but somehow I only recently got around to trying it at the suggestion of the owner of my favorite wine shop. I see no why he raved about it. Everything was very tasty arrived promptly and hot. (The Gambas were still sizzling in the cast iron skillet in which they were served.) The Espinacas (spinach with pine nuts) and Setas (mushroom with duck egg) were especially delicious. Most of the menu are Raciones, which are like Tapas but large enough to share. Three of those plus one Plato were enough for two people and left room for dessert. If you order everything at once it will come out all at once, so either order a bit at a time or be explicit about your preferences for courses. The wine list is one of the largest I've seen and mostly from Rioja which goes well with the food. The place is not cheap but is good value for the quality on offer.

Excellent time at Taberna de Haro! We were seated by the window in the corner, which was lovely for atmosphere. I did find it to be a tad bit chilly, with a draft from the windows. We were waited on by Addy, who was training, and Korro (sorry if I butchered the name). Although Addy was being trained, she was a supertrooper!Debra, the owner, is welcoming. We had a great time talking to her.My favorite dish of the night had to be either the paella or the shrimp, especially the spicy garlic oil. The calamari was so soft and the breading was great. We really wished we could have given a tip to Addy. She worked her butt off, but she couldn’t take any tips since she’s still in training. We’ll definitely comeback to see Addy and eat more great food!
