I just ordered the tijuana birria tacos from here as takeout and realized that although they charged me for these premium tacos, they didn’t give me the beans or queso as ordered. 3 tiny plain tacos for $21 :(

Go for: One of the few places in Boston with legitimate Mexican-style tacos (of which there are many regional sub-specialties featured here).Avoid if: You can't handle roving packs of 20-to-30-somethings and fighting for communal seating at Time Out Market.Something surprising: Their other location is outdoors at one of the busiest sections of the Boston Common near the Boylston T stop.Reservation needed? No, counter service only.Overall . The staff was nice, given the short interaction, and the food was phenomenal and portions were surprisingly hearty. They also have an excellent array of salsas to add to whatever you order for no additional fee. Despite the pain of paying Boston prices for Mexican food, this taqueria is worth the investment.Value for Price: 4Sanitation: 4Food Quality: 5Menu Precision: 4Service Quality: 4Timing: 5Decor: 3Access: 3—5 among the best4 strong3 not too bad2 mediocre1 never again

The nachos essentially had movie theatre cheese dip and flavorless meat…skip this place.

If you want real hibiscus tea/juice made fresh, delicious tacos, and genuinely awesome people, def come here. The only place in Boston w/ the richest tasting hibiscus tea/juice.Dietary restrictions: If you don’t want cheese, you can order without; they’re really considerate about accommodations to the menu

Not sure what it takes to get them to make the food, staff does not care. All are far more interested in some kind of drama between them. After 20 minutes of waiting I asked for my money back. Staff was

I have celiac disease and despite having almost no posted gluten free options on the website they insisted that I was not allowed to bring my own food. This is for a work event so I can’t avoid going. I refuse to trust a restaurant that will not let me bring in my own food, which is an ADA violation.

Disappointing from the first bite. Ordered two tacos: birria (broiled beef) and chicken. Both cold, bland and lacking any real flavour. The birra one was very watery too. The corn tortillas were not nice either. Service was acceptable but I'd recommend they don't lean over the counter texting on their phones. All in all, I would really not recommend this place - especially not going out of one's way to come here, as I did.

Ordered 4 tacos and were initially given the wrong ones even though no one else ordered within 5 minutes of us. Steak taco was bland and meat was chewy, chicken taco and fish taco were bland and very dry. None of them were warm. The market was cool, but I'd recommend trying one of the other places.

No consume for birria tacos at 3:30pm on a saturday. Disappointed but the tacos themselves were pretty juicy, hence 4 stars.

Hands down the worst experience I’ve had at any food establishment. The staff was extremely rude and gave attitude when I went to go pick up my order. I’m not sure if he was having an off day, but I didn’t expect someone to have that much attitude when all I did was say my name for pick-up. Next, my tacos were beyond cold. The vibe of the market is nice, and I’ve eaten at a few of the other places and enjoyed them much more.

Yesterday we were at Time Out Boston and ordered food with the new online system, from 2 different stores. One order was delivered quickly. For the other food order we received a text that stated: Hi xxxxx, $xx.xx has been refunded to the card ending in xxxx. View your updated receipt: gotab.io/.xxxxxxxx~bn~/receipt The food was not delivered, so we ordered from a different restaurant inside Time Out and we were charged again immediately for the food. But the refund for the original order did not show up on my card. I went inside to ask about this and had to wait a long time to speak to a manager about the refund, while the rest of our group was outside enjoying the day and the very limited amount of time we had to spend together. The manager, Matt, promised me the refund would process at the end of the business day. As of this morning I still do not see this applied to my credit card. This was fraudulent and frustrating. We are visitors to the city and we feel we were completely ripped off. We have no opportunity to go back in person to address this. This was a very poor way to treat people who are visiting to see the city and go to a ball game.

Discriminatory and rude behaviour by the manager and some staff. They wouldn’t accept the official Greek ID even though they could cross check the data with a scanned copy of the passport.

I miss taqueria El barrio at the previous location with that salsa bar, chicharrón, lengua and charro beans. Now menu is reduced and overpriced and my corn tortillas were cold. Al pastor quesadilla was OK but not the best experience as before.
