Excellent dining experience for atmosphere, taste and waitstaff. Clean, beautiful table settings and layout. Food quality was superb. Menu was just right in terms of limited offerings but covered the bases. Oysters served exceptionally well - on the halfshell with 4 accoutrements on a bed of ice with small fork and spoon; lemon in mesh bag. That's the way you do it. Upscale dining for sure and not breaking the bank for comparable places -but not better- like Capitol Grill or Eddie V's . Cocktails looked to be super but I'm a straight up martini guy; there, glass could have been colder. Otherwise, this is the place. Final positive note -not a kid in sight or earshot.
We went for our anniversary dinner and they treated us to a glass of champagne, a note and a dessert. On top of that the food was the delicious and the service was excellent. Would absolutely recommend.
The restaurant is very open, very inviting, very welcoming. The food and drinks were great but your staff are the true stars of your restaurant.

My husband and I went here a year ago and remember it blowing us away, noting it was better than Capital Grille and Mooo. We were excited to go back, but this time it was just ‘eh.’ We ordered steaks, like before, and both were very under seasoned (couldn’t taste any rub). My filet was undercooked and while they took it back to cook it longer, it just ended up being overcooked. The sides were good and we had a nice salad, just really disappointed about the steaks given what we paid for them. We won’t be rushing back.

Service was very bad. Waiter refused to give a girl a plate. Had to argue politely with the waiter for the waiter to bring a plate. Made me lose my appetite. Also, the waiter never brought the plate. I don’t care if you’re a new employee, it’s basic common sense. The steak was overcooked and terrible. Crab cakes were really great! Service was bad. Waited a while for simple water.

I ordered an 8 oz steak for $39 with one side and they brought out a steak with about 5-6 oz of meat and the rest was fat. The steak was good but why would a cook serve you something with that much fat? Waste of money. I will never go there again. Capital Grill is so much better!

Maybe the steaks are good? The seafood was overcooked and vegetarian options were very weak. Overpriced in general as well.

We had the smallest oysters I have ever seen and the King Crab legs were old....almost inedible. For the prices they changed we will never go back.

Service and atmosphere are nice (though the big tv with the game on is weird to me). Snapper and oysters were great. Shrimp cocktail was overcooked and tough. Ribeye was also tough with a lot of gristle. Sides were good.
Update: Adding a star since they followed up with nice note and gift card. Will try again.

Lovely restaurant with wonderful staff and a warm welcoming atmosphere. Great for larger gatherings! My only complaint is that they serve the steaks on skillets that kind of keep cooking them so by the time I was halfway through my rare steak it was medium to medium well. I understand why it’s done but I was sad by the end of my steak! If you don’t order the Mexican corn side, you’re missing out!

Don't get me wrong I thought Black and Blue was awesome and had a great experience the atmosphere is great and service was perfect. My only negative was how the steak was served. It comes out on an extremely hot plate sizzling like a fajita. I was not prepared for it and for someone who goes to dinner hungry expecting to be able to enjoy my meal immediately I was disappointed. Eventually the plate cooled and the steak was finally edible and delicious I just didn't appreciate the extra wait.

Great environment the food was fancy and all but personally I've had better elsewhere. Yes they have their high end twist you would want to go check it out but I would go somewhere else first. We went for a company party

Disappointed in this restaurant. I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday, both of our first times here, I am not a big steak eater so I opted for the salmon. I have eaten salmon for years, never having any kind of reaction - I also do not have any food allergies. While eating my mouth, throat and lips felt numb and tingly. I notified my server, asking for ingredients, she seemed concerned, I assured her I was okay physically for the time being, but nothing else came of this concern. I did not eat much of my meal because of this. I started experiencing severe stomach pain, causing us to pay and leave the restaurant quickly. I got home and immediately got sick. The restaurant was closing soon after leaving, so we did not have time to contact them that night. I contacted a manager the next day about this only to be told "theres nothing we can do now, you can come back and try the salmon again, notify us when you are here". I will definitely not be back, due to their food quality and lack of customer service. They should remove the "crab" from their restaurant name since they can apparently only cook steak. The bare minimum is for food to be prepared safely.
