Shane Frechette is an exceptional Manager and goes above and beyond to ensure every person that walks into his restaurant receives the very best service and food quality. He is also an amazing leader and trains his staff well. The service and food is consistently great and it's because of his strong leadership! I appreciate you, Shane and his staff! Thank you! With much appreciation, Christina Russo
First time at good night Johnny's! Atmosphere was welcoming and shows to eat outside which was pleasant. Our meals came out quickly but without silverware. We had to ask for it. Food was brunch with nice scrambled eggs, toast, sausages, and home fries. I was delicious except the home fries where they were small pieces of dark brown potato and soggy. A couple of packets of butter were tossed on top of them for their toast I guess. Little sloppy delivery. All in all it was a lovely day to sit outside and have brunch. However! The music was loud and the person performing had no talent whatsoever. She never took a break and her voice was grating and made our visit noisy and not musical. Thank you!
I called to make rsvp for 730. I asked to rsvp the back table for 3 which I like to normal sit . Well we were next to the bar where the food was coming out and drinks didn't feel comfortable as something might of fallen on me . So is there a better way to make RSVP ?
Staff is excellent, very accommodating. Great food. Drinks were kind of expensive but I feel like that's everywhere lately. We went on a Friday night and the band (Ignition) was excellent!
Love going there for music . Beautiful place and not far from home . Everyone is so nice and like making rsvp .
We went for a music event recently which you paid in to attend the event and get dinner. Seemed like a great idea. The restaurant has been open for a year and i assumed given the number of events they had hosted, that they had worked out the staffing needs for this cadence. I am sad to say they did not on this particular evening. There appeared to be 4 total waitstaff who were overwhelmed (exasperated by everyone being seated within 30 minutes). That resulted in a lot of disgruntled parties, including ours, waiting an obscene amount of time for drinks to arrive (an hour!). You could tell the bar was overwhelmed and at least one was inexperienced having to refer to cheat sheet. We did contemplate leaving at one point but we had already paid for the tickets. And they apologized and offered to comp our drinks for that round. Kitchen seemed fine, as our food came out in a decent amount of time. Meals were good. Once things settled it was more enjoyable and as the night wore on our drinks came out in more reasonable timeframe. Manager was attentive but definitely could tell they had been through a battle. Hope they figure out staffing in the future and have super skilled bartenders ready to hustle for a compressed timeframe where everyone is seated within minutes of each other. I know others had issues have to imagine it was costly for the restaurant to appease them all. I'd say try it on a non-event night if you are into live music with your dinner.
We were there for the dueling piano show and it was awesome. So much fun. I got the Johnny dog and it was delicious. Will definitely go again.
Delicious Seasonal Salads and Chicken Dishes, Nice Wine Selections - they even mixed up a Sangria for us, and Sweet Desserts!! This place just keeps getting better and better each time we visit! Staff are very welcoming, friendly, and efficient. Entertainment tonight: Dueling Pianos - terrific entertainment / top notch!! Wonderful, Fun evening!
We were a party of 6, 4 of us had never been before and it was not a first good impression. Things started OK but got bad. We ordered a 2nd round of drinks which we had to ask our server 3x for...he said "bar is backed up" - as we could see the bar from our table we could clearly see it was not - we waited almost an hour. Shane the manager finally brought them over and was kind enough to comp them. We then ordered more drinks...and again had to ask a couple of times, then my sister ordered a beer and another waiter had to bring it over after us asking for it as we could see it sitting there. Our server was clearly new and unseasoned which we were fine with, we've all been new at jobs. There was a show going on and it was a Sat night - we saw several other customers frustrated with this waiter and I feel someone should have recognized the kid was struggling and stepped in. We were having a great time but then turned into watching as drinks came from the bar and went to other tables...and us having to ask for our drinks not once, not twice but 3x was less than satisfactory. Sadly this waiter did not appear to even understand there was an issue, never apologized, seemed completely unphased as to our frustration. Then the bill came and the drinks were all on the bill. We grabbed the manager Shane and he took care of it. Again, we've all been new at a job but my sister and BIL who had been there a few times before commented that they had similar experienced 3x prior w/ the exception of when they sat at the bar. There were plenty of runners/employees so in my opinion, this was avoidable. I might try it again but....maybe not sadly.
I've tried GJ three times and each time have been apathetic or underwhelmed. We went for brunch this weekend and the food selection was small and the food itself was mediocre. The french toast and pancakes were dry and not helped by the sauces on them. The waiter had way too many tables and we couldn't hear him over the music. My other experiences here have been meh too. With a lot of local choices, this isn't one of mine anymore.

Tim was an excellent server, and the food was fantastic! We devoured the short rib nachos!!
I was excited to try this place out for the first time, and was extremely disappointed. The musical act was great, but was so loud it was impossible to have a conversation. The setup is a dining room, so there is not an expectation to not talk during the music, like other venues like Club Passim. Food, service and drinks were marginal. So please decide, are you a music club, or a restaurant with music, and optimize accordingly.
This was my first time dining here, and I have to say—everything was amazing. Our server, Bryan, was excellent—attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. The food was delicious, and the live music added such a great vibe to the evening. I'll definitely be coming back!
Our service was fantastic. Band was great. Had drinks & appetizers, those were all good too.
We have never had a bad experience at Goodnight Johnny's. Warmly greeted and service is excellent. The Mother's Day Brunch was an excellent value. Choices for everyone from yogurt and fruit, charcuterie and breakfast items (the waffles were delicious and light). Wonderful appetizers of coconut shrimp and scallops wrapped in bacon and more. Generous slice of Prime Rib that was cooked to perfection and a fabulous display of desserts. You could not go wrong.
