Cocktails are really good but service is painfully slow. I just walked out this time bc I still hadn’t been served after sitting at the bar for 10 minutes.
Great dinner a recommend!
Food was good, tasty, and decent portions. Atmosphere was good for being lunch. Service was lacking 100%. 4 of us sat at our table for 1 hour 45 minutes because of the waiters' speed. He came out every 30 minutes and then would dissappear.
Nothing major if time is not an issue!
Great stake
As you walk in, the restaurant has a lovely feel, dark wood, nice lighting and sectioned out. We could only get a 5:30 booking, as it was full for the night.
We sat in a rounded booth and the service was on point, with a main waiter and multiple staff refilling water and cutlery.
I opted for the scallops for starter and Halibut for main. Food was on point and the rest of the party enjoyed their steaks.
The server was fantastic! However, the steaks came back very overcooked from the medium rare and medium we ordered. Our server was very apologetic and took them back and brought back new steaks.
I was disappointed that no manager came over to see if all was ok after the server corrected the miscommunication.
Dining at The Bancroft was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfectly suited for a memorable meal. The staff was attentive and professional, ensuring that every detail of our experience was seamless.
And the food—simply outstanding. Every dish was crafted with precision and bursting with flavor, showcasing high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. From the appetizers to the main course, each bite was a testament to culinary excellence. The menu offered a fantastic selection, catering to both classic tastes and adventurous palates.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a night out, The Bancroft delivers an experience that combines sophistication with comfort, making it a must-visit. Highly recommended!
I'm a steakhouse guy. I like a good "steakhouse medium" steak that's expertly cooked and flavorful without all the gimmicks. I like to think I know my stuff.
Overall I'd call this a solidly average steakhouse in that block of steakhouses that all charge ~$50+ for a filet.
I went here recently to celebrate our anniversary. We got the tomahawk, steakhouse medium, and while it's far from my favorite cut and I know it isn't an easy piece to cook, it was just... average.
It had a really solid char going on it but I'm not looking to pay these prices for a char. I want perfectly moist and tender; a light crust of seasoning that's flavorful and thoughtful; juicy without being bloody where a pinch of salt makes your mouth salivate just thinking of the next bite. This wasn't it. It was just... char.
Certainly it wasn't worth the $115 price tag IMO. Maybe $85 would be justifiable but breaking $100 is a stretch.
On the plus side, the atmosphere was really nice, the tables clean and service pretty good (towards the end it dropped off noticeably with empty water glasses and stacked plates, though I'm not sure why as it was excellent up until we got our food).
I could see going back here for after-work drinks or maybe to try a different steak, especially if someone else were buying.

I reserved for my Birthday and the table was not clean. We were rushed through out the evening.
Service was clumsy and when I used the bathroom there was paper towels all over the floor, I was surprised at the lack of cleanliness.
Everything was very underwhelming for the price paid!
I would be very reluctant to come back.

The only recommendation I would have is if you don't like salt on your Filet, let them know...It's the first Filet I've had that was too much salt???

My sister said 10/10 for all the dishes: bread, N/A "espresso martini", "aperol spritz", Caesar salad, Steak tartare, hamachi crudo, Ribeye with truffle fries, Key lime cheesecake, and chocolate cremeaux. I just wanted to tell her: happy anniversary! :)

We came here with my wife to celebrate my 40th birthday. Overall the atmosphere was wonderful and we had a lovely waitress who was under training. She was super sweet, professional. There was a male waiter who was training her. He had a French accent. He was very arrogant and rude when it came to ordering. When it came to our food, steak was overcooked, all dishes were extremely salty and oily which made it pretty much un edible. Overall we did not have the best food experience but the female waitress was wonderful.
