I called today to make a reservation a month out for a party of 6 for my birthday for 7pm. I was told I could book only 4-530 or later than 730pm. The time restriction was not due to the availability but having 6 guests. There was no flexibility to accommodate. I was quite taken aback and disappointed in their lack to accommodate when my request seemed very reasonable. Sharing to help people in planning for their group celebrations.

Go to place for steak dinner. Every dish surprised in the upside. Wish there could be more options for wine

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a restaurant where every single course truly delivered. From start to finish, each dish was beautifully presented, thoughtfully paired, and absolutely delicious.

The hospitality made the night even better. Our waiter was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming...and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch.

Add in easy parking (a rare Greater Boston win), seamless service, and plates that looked as good as they tasted, and this was a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend.

It's a great place to have delicious foods with a nice enviornment experience.. the tomahawk steak was cooked to my perfection and the seafood tower was amazing also... totally hit the spot and a great place for a Birthday dinner 🥰😍

I ordered the 28 day dry aged ribeye medium rare, side of mushrooms and Hot Roquefort Butter. It was fantastic. I ate half of the entire meal with plans to have a great breakfast. I asked the waiter to box up the leftovers and he said he would. Twenty minutes later I asked about the leftovers and was told he threw them away and they were cooking another steak to go. I was grateful however I got home with the leftovers and opened the box. Not a ribeye steak but a small NY Sirloin. First world problems I know but I do not like NY Sirloin!!! I was looking forward to my leftover Ribeye. I will still go back. Just a disappointing experience this time.

Went to Bancroft for a dinner for our 40th Anniversary given by our children. Everything was exceptional except for the pre dinner bread. I have a gluten allergy, it was so disappointing that instead of hot gluten free rolls we received pieces of gluten free toast. It was even on our appetizer. Please management invest in a good gluten free roll it really is not a noteworthy experience to start your dinner experience at a high end restaurant with toasted plain sandwich bread. You dropped the ball here! Please take this to heart and invest in a better alternative to wheat based bread.

Everything I would expect from a high end steak house. Food was excellent ( the steak tartare was sublime), and service top notch.

Bancroft is amazing! We had lobster ravioli appetizer, filet mignon, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. Service and atmosphere were top notch. Could not have been any better!

We stopped by for a late lunch and were delighted by our meal.
Located in the newly built complex of Thurd Avenue, the restaurant is located towards the front in one of the first buildings. There's plenty of parking and handicapped accessible spaces nearby. The interior is an upscale industrial setting, which is well lit and inviting. This setting would be ideal for a casual meal with friends and family or a business meeting.
Our server Mike was friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. While they have a dedicated gluten-free menu for dinner, there's no designated menu for lunch, but Mike was able to advise me on what to order. They do have a dedicated gluten-free deep fryer and everything is communicated with the chef and manager. Our meal was delicious with the steaks cooked to our preferences and the truffle fries were great.
I highly recommend this restaurant for a meal and look forward to coming back.

The food is fantastic, and so are the cocktails. The service left a lot to be desired - pretentious. Unfortunate, because this has been one of my favorite restaurants in the Boston area.
