I absolutely LOVE this place. I can have neither gluten nor dairy, so if I want a baked good, I often have to make it myself, but there are so many options here. I also absolutely love their tuna melt and so many other things are top notch. My partner often pitches going whenever we have a chill morning or afternoon with nothing planned bc I absolutely light up at the mention of going to twist.
The only downsides, in my eyes, are that the hot food stops being sold at like 3 and that some of the dairy free creamy deserts have a strong coconut taste.
Dietary restrictions: Everything is gluten free, many things are dairy free, and they also label what contains coconut and eggs.
They also have some less surgery treats which are great for folks who need to watch their sugar levels.
Wheelchair accessibility: I'm not sure if there is an automatic door button, but otherwise the space is layed out in a way where it wouldn't be hard to navigate most wheelchairs.

This place is awesome everything is gluten free and for a person with celiac this place was heaven!!! I went here twice on my trip to Boston. The French toast was amazing and don’t get me started on the baked goods! So worth a visit and it was so nice not having to worry about getting sick.

The food was fine, nothing inventive or interesting and the food we ordered we felt we could’ve made a home with better seasoning. Not a bad option if you’re out and need breakfast, but not worth going out of your way.

I would move to Massachusetts just to eat here. Twist Bakery is absolutely incredible! This was a life saver for me on our family vacation last week. I did a lot of research ahead of time before our trip to I could ensure I had safe places to eat. I've been gluten free for almost 12 years. In addition to that, I have many other food intolerances. I emailed Twist Bakery directly, ahead of my trip, to inquire about ingredients used in various products. They got back to me right away and answered all of my questions which put my mind at ease. My family doesn't have any food restrictions, and they were blown away with the food too. We ate here multiple times during our trip, and everyone loved their meals. Best gf pancakes I've ever had. We also got bakery items to go each day - apple crumble cupcakes, carrot cake, tiramisu cup and pumpkin bread. I also bought a tray of cinnamon rolls on our last day so I could bring them back home with me on our flight. I can't recommend this place enough!

It was a bit of a trip to get out to Burlington from Boston, but it was worth the trip. Twist is near Wegman’s and next door to California Closets. The experience of looking into the bakery case and realizing that I could eat almost anything in it was a trip after 40 years of being gluten free! I’ll lead with the best -> I don’t think I’ve ever tasted a better chocolate chip cookie than the Twist chocolate chip cookie. It was perfect. Maybe better than perfect. It could be dangerous for me to live closer to this place. I also took a taste of and did not like the fudge brownie and a chocolate cupcake. My friend absolutely loved her pumpkin Whoopie Pie. We ate lunch before dessert. I had a crispy chicken sandwich with NO tomato. It was so jam packed, it was a challenge to eat. I enjoyed the crispy chicken, and while the bun was yummy, I think I’ll go for the crispy chicken salad next time. My friend had a BLAT, and really liked it. As we were leaving, we noticed a freezer with bread, chicken pot pie, cookie dough, crispy chicken, and a few other things. If Twist had a Boston location or a food truck in Boston, I’d go in a heartbeat. Delicious.
Dietary restrictions: Accommodates gluten allergies. Some dishes accommodate dairy allergies. They also accommodated my tomato allergy.
Parking: Easy to park in mall area.

Crispy chicken sandwich was awful. The pickles tasted like they were bad and they didn’t put mayo on it. Barely Edible for $17.
Finally got the chance to come over here. The atmosphere is uplifting and the food is fantastic.

I was reading reviews prior to coming in. I must say, N. Neil was completely WRONG regarding TWIST, the staff and the food!! It was so nice in there, the people were so friendly. I had the gorgeous young woman with dark hair wait on me. She was so sweet and helpful. All the staff was completely fun and accommodating. I will go back again soon. May I add that people who just write a negative review like this person N. Neil, are very disrespectful. These young kids are doing an amazing job!! Shame on this NEGATIVE NEILLY (NELLY)!!! Bravo Twist!

Twist Cafe and Bakery is one of the best GF establishments in Massachusetts. Whether you're looking for sweet pastries, food, or a great cup of coffee, Twist will not let you down. For breakfast I typically order the breakfast tacos and they're absolutely amazing. I also often get lattes, and what I appreciate about Twist is that they offer coconut milk, which I prefer over almond and oat milk. The staff is always extremely friendly and polite, from the manager Jessica to the food prep staff in the back, as well as all of the associates behind the register. I've frequented Twist so much that they even know my name, my wife's name, and our children's names. It is also a very kid-friendly establishment, with a great kids menu and kids drinks - my children love the coconut milk steamers. Overall, I give Twist an A+. I've never had any issues with the food or the staff. So if you have food allergies and/or sensitivities, give Twist a try - you won't regret it!

This is so disappointing to write. It was the staff behavior, and the food- it was not great. I cannot recommend them. I ate everything but the pound cake, but only because it was my only meal I was having today, and I came over an hour to try them out. It was way hyped-up and didn't deliver.
You order up front and get a number for your table. I was #22.
I get to the counter and two of the people two young women say something to each other and laugh about how someone who has a candida yeast infection should not come eat there. Whatever. Weird convo for the front, and I didn't even process they had said this until like 3 minutes after the fact when I was at my table. I asked about what is good, asked if I can get a box to go if I don't finish everything. Pay via tap, and go sit so I can sort of see into the kitchen where they are expediting orders, because I love seeing the process. Unfortunately, I could only see their heads, not the work.
I ordered:
Southwest Turkey Sandwich: whoever made it left the bum on the griddle too long and one side was charred, and not in a good way. It was also missing the avocado. It came with a side salad or chips and the side salad had a rotten berry in it.
The bread which was a roll was good, but nothing to write home about. Nice and fluffy. The chipotle aoli was not present and they put something else on there instead. It was fine, but nothing to remember. Small potion size, so be warned. NO. SKIP.
The Roman Bowl: This salad was good. It tasted a little like their was butter in it. Was this because of the olives? Don't know, but this I would recommend. Again, small portion size. RECOMMEND.
Lemon Pound Bundt Cake: It was horrible. I threw it away. Bland cake, that was dry, way too sweet icing, that had no lemon flavor, then a lemon syrup on the bottom it was dipped in that tasted like a cough drop. Large portion size. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!
Chocolate Chunk Cookie: Perfect and not too sweet. Large portion size. RECOMMEND.
Here is the problem, not only was some of the food not great but I literally heard 2 male staff in the kitchen talk about messing with someone's food! Like what?! Not okay, and the other 4 young women workers laughing about it. Then get this when they saw me see them say that. Then I see this woman, a customer come up to them as they were discussing how to cover for each other, (I guess she is a regular?) she said she would lie for them, to 2 of the girls and how they shouldn't suffer because of one mistake. WILD behavior on so many fronts. Mini soap opera.
So there is a ton more to try in this cafe, and they have a drink bar for coffee etc., but I will NOT return. Too risky. My tongue itched when I left, like 5 minutes later, but it subsided after like 10 minutes. I took my dessert with me, and ate it after the itching went away. It made me wonder, did they just mess with my food or everyone's? Did they mess with my food or are their food safety issues happening here as well? Go here and roll the dice with your money if you want to, but I won't.
Massachusetts has been the wildest experience in terms of people messing with food, and behaving inappropriately openly.
Good luck with eating here.

American breakfast in a modern style. It's a Bakery and there are many desserts if you like American ones. The most popular breakfast is savory: eggs, bacon, toast, avocado toast... They are excellent. You order at the cash register, pay, are asked for your name, given a number and wait for the service. There is also espresso on the menu, but I preferred to try the double schot, a strong, restricted American coffee.

A bakery where everything is gluten free, yet you would not know it if no one told you. That is how good everything in Twist is! Pastries, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, rolls and much more. The blueberry muffin is the best I have ever had, moist, big blueberries and perfect amount of sugar on top. Twist might become a regular visit for me! - Updating my review 5 years later and Twist is the best GF bakery I know of. Nothing is better, no one has more variety and offers more GF/DF goodies for me to buy. I always stop in when I am nearby. I hope to see more locations someday and one closer to my home.
Dietary restrictions: GF-DF no problem!
