I tried to order on the website, which did not work. I called to place a takeout order of a side wedge salad, add steak tips. On the online menu on the restaurant’s website, the side salad is listed as $15, with steak tips as an additional $15 add on, totaling $30. When I picked up my order I was charged $52. I expressed my confusion to the hostess, even showing her the website to confirm what the price should be. I was gaslit and told I owed $52. I paid the money and took the food, but I will never be back. $52 for a side salad with an added protein is outrageous. The food is great, but this makes it not worth it at all.
If you decide to go, check your bill and ask for the manager, which I regret not doing.

Had a really great dinner here a little over a week ago with my partner and a friend of ours. Our server and the manager were really lovely. The menu and cocktail program are both very thoughtful and reference local history in a way that isn't kitsch or unapproachable, which is a really fun find for those of us that work in public history. We'll definitely be looking forward to returning!

Had one starter, one entree and one flatbread between the two of us. The starter was great but everything else was so bad honestly.
Waited 15 mins for them to take our order, and another 45 mins to get our food. The flatbread was burnt and the entree was bland and poorly seasoned.
The staff were nice but that does not compensate for such bad food and service for a 100$ meal.

Have been here three times. Each time, the food has been excellent and filling. Wine list is good. Service is good. Atmosphere is good. And the bar is great, too. Glad to see others recognizing the same.

We brought my mother here for a Christmas gift with her two daughters and two granddaughters. I was glad they were willing to add a fifth person with short notice.
Our experience was mediocre because the table was in a corner of the restaurant and it was cold with the least amount of atmosphere possible in what seems like a lovely space. Service was good, but seeing how none of the 5 other tables in our section were seated while we were there, it would have been nice if they had pushed a smaller table to accommodate our 5th wheel instead of adding a chair to a 4-top.

We can't say enough good things about Northern Spy. They helped us avoid a catastrophe when our rehearsal dinner venue lost power and cancelled last minute. Without hesitation, they accommodated our large party and the wait staff could not have been any more pleasant. Everyone enjoyed the food and Northern Spy saved our night. Thank you!

Very nice building and nice inside. Food was good but has a gourmet bend to it. A bit expensive. Our waitress Taylor made it an enjoyable experience.

I LOVE photographing weddings here. The space is absolutely unique, the food phenomenal, the surface fantastic and it offers wonderful opportunities for photographs. Wayne at LoveDays Photography.

Amazing historic venue, captained by creative and talented Chef Marc Sheehan with fabulous flavor profiles in every bite! This is a truly unique dining experience from start to finish!
The restaurant is housed in the historic Paul Revere home in Canton MA and the welcoming wood fire grill in the open kitchen pays homage to the forges from centuries prior.
Cocktail selection was excellent and service by Kyle was superb throughout the evening.
The hand made pull-apart bread rolls with smoked salted butter to start the meal were piping hot and melted in your mouth, with the smoked salted butter adding lovely nuanced flavor to the butter.
We savored our seafood appetizers, harkening to Boston’s coastal locale, with succulent crabcakes as well as shrimp cooked in a cast iron skillet with chili strands and crusty bread.
The fire-roasted mussels were truly exceptional with a rich wonderfully flavorful creamy broth enriched with bacon and apples. Superb!!
The whitefish pate, which was amazing, was served with a delicious homemade sweet bread baked in a can in traditional fashion. The combination of the bread, crème fraiche, and pickled onions with the whitefish pate made for an exceptionally delicious combination.
Entrees included an amazing pork special with sausage, rib, pork belly and roasted pork, all perfectly seasoned. The cavatelli was hand made, with lobster as the protein, and again was absolutely delicious. The scrod entree was perfectly prepared, and included bay scallops and fregola as well as broccoli. Perfection! The medium-rare steak tips were cooked exactly to order, along with choice of potatoes or fries. All of the portions were so large we each had take-away boxes to enjoy another day!
Sides included oven-roasted Brussels sprouts and a wonderful beet/arugula/goat cheese salad with house vinaigrette, both excellent!
Dessert was impossibly delicious, although we were so full from the very large portion sizes we almost had no room left! The sticky caramel cake was ridiculously luxurious and decadent, topped with vanilla ice cream and toffee crumbles. An absolute must, if you have room, and the single serving was plenty for 4 of us. The cookies were also fantastic, as was the unique and delicious molasses cookie ice cream.
Definitely a 5 star experience. Portions were huge, staff (Kyle, Brian, Chloe, Forrest) super friendly and helpful.
Chef Marc Sheehan has created a true gem south of Boston, reflective of the region’s history and heritage. The unique flavor profiles and nuanced ingredient combinations showcase his incredible culinary skills and it was such an honor to have dined here.
Highly recommend!!

Food is very imaginative with flavors that just work. Staff is friendly and fun with a degree of hipster class. I could have drank 5 Hot Boy Reveres and loved every one. Worth the stop, worth the visit, worth the money

Nicely set up restaurant BUT…. Very loud, waited a long time for our food and drinks. Then when dinner finally arrived over a hour later the burgwrs were very rare even though they were smash burgers. Filet entree was cold and found a hair in my dish. Waitress apologized and said it’s cause there were so many bigger parties. Which made us feel insignificant and not worthy of getting same service. Gave a complimentary dessert but once delivered no cutlery or napkins given, Gave us bill finally but we had to find someone to cash us out cause she never came back. Def would not go back . Sat down at 715 and didn’t get food until after 830p

What a find! Great food, great service. We sat at the bar and our Bartender was good. They have some excellent cocktails to choose from, very different. And the menu is also different, but everything we had was so good! The potato bread was out of this world and so unique.
Only complaint. Very loud, which it’s a bar we get it. But the guy barking out “service” over and over was crazy and quite honestly super distracting. Music was way too loud so w the yelling and that it was overstimulating.
Would definitely return but maybe a night that would be a little quieter.
