The crispy fried oats are a must try! I also really enjoyed the brown bread that came with the smoked fish. The glazed carrots make a great combo with the streak too!

Mom & I had a lovely baked scrod dinner and wonderful ice coffee. However, Dad chose a seafood pie, it was not like a pie...which i would have thought could be eaten with the fork the gave him. It was a seafood soup w/ a crust floating on top... needing a spoon... Dad likes chowder, and bisk this was runny. I enjoyed my pistachio tiramsiu it was interesting, however it had 🔥 hot pistachio on the top... Dad more traditional & doesn't do spicy... so he didn't enjoy it. The service was spot on... lovely young woman... Atmosphere was nice... I don't know how to rate the food Me almost a 5, Mom said a 4, Dad didn't want to give it any rating ... Hope you have my experiance & not his. .

We've eaten at Northern Spy twice and loved both experiences! We've ordered the burger and the steak tips and both were excellent. The steak tips had these peppers that went with them as well that were really tasty. The vibe of the building is cool because of the historic location and I love being able to watch the kitchen from the bar area. We also had excellent drinks both times (don't remember what we ordered but once I think it was a variation of an old fashioned and the other time it was more of a spritz type drink). All around the quality of the food and the service was excellent!

The Best!!! We had a fabulous attentive waitress, who made our girl's lunch gathering one of the best. When two of us ordered a B&B one the rocks, we were momentarily disappointed when they didn't have any. The bartender stepped up and made us her version-And let me tell you, it was better than the bottle. So much so, we asked for the mix and instructions, how many ounces of this and that.

A friend introduced me to this place—it’s not somewhere you would just happen to pass by and pull in.
We had lunch on the terrace on a lovely warm day. The service, atmosphere, and food were all enjoyable. I will go again!

Loved this place! I need to go back and eat more! All of us wanted to order 1/2 of the menu.
We went with a large party with kids and they were very nice to us. Having pizza and mac & cheese as an option is great!
I thought there was a duck dish and I wanted that, but I settled for braised beef that was super rich and fall apart. I still don't understand what made the mussels, but they were amazing!
I can see visiting here again, but in the daytime so I can actually see some of the historical stuff that makes up the spot!
Food was fantastic, service was excellent. We sat outside on very pleasant day. Table and chairs a little wobbly due to stone patio, but in no means took away from a fantastic early dinner. Highly recommend it. Good for gluten free eating as the servers understand the concept and are very willing to double check and make excellent recommendations.

Scrod was a small portion but the braised beef perfect, had reservations, but service was slow and food was slow to come out, wasn't to busy either. We did get a complimentary champagne toast for our wedding Anniversary, we got married last year and had our reception at Northern Spy

Excellent brunch yesterday. My first time here but my friends go often. We hung out for a bit and our server Tracy, was phenomenal. She checked in just the right amount, had an awesome personality, made excellent recommendations and gave perfect descriptions of what to expect. Every thing we ordered was delicious right down to the iced coffee! Great experience.
