I’ve been stopping at this Fresh City rest area location for years, and I really should’ve paid attention to the recent reviews. What used to be a great, fresh salad wrap has seriously gone downhill. The wrap now completely overwhelms the filling—barely any salad inside, and what’s there just doesn’t have the same quality or freshness it used to. It’s a shame, because this used to be one of the few healthy food options on the road. Sad to see a good thing fade like this.

While I appreciate they have gluten free options, meaning my partner could eat on our way home, I don't appreciate how I was treated.
To be polite and try to spread positivity, I complimented the cashier's hoop earrings. Apparently, when I left to order something for myself elsewhere, they proceeded to make fun of me and my appearance. My partner overheard everything and told me after she got her food.

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like the Fresh City in Sturbridge hires people who are interested in working. Today when I went in, there was a young woman at the front counter sitting with her head down, barely visible (at first I thought they were closed) who was so preoccupied with her FaceTime chat she didn’t make eye contact or acknowledge me in any way. After five minutes, I walked next to the next shop where I was greeted with a friendly “Hello, can I help you?”. This is the third time this has happened at this location. I go in expecting to get food there but end up walking away after not getting service 2/22/2025

I got a Laredo bowl - rice, black beans, pico, and cheese, and added grilled chicken. Nothing about the meal tasted “fresh,” which is ironic given the name of the place. The rice was still crunchy, and everything tasted like freezer burn and plastic. The grilled chicken was unseasoned and rubbery. The staff was pleasant and friendly, but the food was almost inedible. I ate about 50% of the rice and beans mixture, and threw the rest (and all of the chicken) away.

Food was alright, everything was like $10, but the worker literally made a smoothie for herself before making our order. "Out of sandwiches" apparently.

Ordered 3, 2 slice meals with sodas. $33+/- asked for extra side of parmesan cheese u would of thought it was war time and I needed ration vouchers. I was given 3. I looked up online thru my wholesale account the same exact packets of cheese run 10 cents a piece. That's all it would of taken to keep a customer happy and your manager chose otherwise. Besides the severe rationing of parmesan cheese, they must of just stocked the bottles of soda as I was the lucky finder of the one they drooped and put in front row. If Google allowed me to give them a zero I would. Needs new management
