Order the omelette of the day special. It was delicious the home fries were OK they needed a little bit more seasoning or I would have given a 5 star

Ordered omolette with home fries, food served was Luke warm at best.i did not say anything as I felt it would been simply put in microwave. When I paid I mentioned ro server food was barely warmed. She came back to table an said back door in kitchen is open an possibly cold air coming in. Well got in car to leave an I noticed back door still open.

This is definitely the place to go if you're hungry and want awesome home cooking. The food is so good, the portions are quite large and the service is great! I went for breakfast and will absolutely be going again for dinner and more breakfasts.

Not much atmosphere, but the food is fabulous. We had the fried shrimp, fried haddock, and fried sea scallops with fries and onion rings.

When I first started going there. I loved it. HOW EVER, about a month ago, they changed the seasonings used to make the home fried potatoes. I was told that someone said they were too salty. (OK, use a little less, not hard to figure out). I DID NOT LIKE THE NEW SEASONINGS. COULD NOT EAT THEM. TOLD THE WAIT STAFF, (WHO ARE EXCELLENT PEOPLE) About it. When back a few times, but the management didn't have the good sense to listen to a regular customer. Went back today, didn't order home fries, but got em anyway. Ate one, THAT WAS ONE TOO MANY. TOTALLY GROSS. I MIGHT BE BACK FOR LUNCH SOME DAY, BUT DEFINITELY NOT BREAKFAST. MANAGEMENT PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS.

I work nearby, so it has become my go-to spot for lunch. I have never been disappointed by ANY food served nor bad staff. This is all homemade eats and the kind of food that keeps you coming back. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. I do recommend you call in your order if it's a lunchtime crunch. They'll have it hot and ready at the pick up window. Love this place, don't ever change! BTW the clam chowder is the best I've ever had, and comes with the Friday seafood fry!

Yankee never disappoints! The best chowder I have ever tasted (even my own) and it comes with the fish n chips! All the food I have tried is amazing homemade eats. It's places like this that take pride in what they are putting on. your plate keeps me coming back. Don't ever stop doing what you're doing! You are a hit in my book. Thanks for all the great lunches

We've been by this restaurant many times in recent weeks & have commented how we'd like to give it a try! I have a weekly medical appointment in Charlton, otherwise it's not a town we visit often...living almost an hour away. Yesterday we decided to go for lunch. It didn't look too busy which I liked, because I do suffer from anxiety. It was around 12:30pm on a Tuesday, which I learned from a waitress isn't usually a very busy day for them. We walked in, noticed that they had seating available up at the counter as well as tables & booths, also a few outside options. The overall feel was very cozy & comfortable. We sat ourselves & the waitress came over after a few minutes to take our order. The menu had plenty of tasty choices, including burgers, sandwiches, & more. I like that they had comfort food like pot roast & chicken parmesan. They also offered specials. Our party of 3 adults ordered chop suey, swedish meatballs & a chili dog, along with stuffed pepper soup. We were all very happy with our meals & overall dining experience. Our waitress was friendly, welcoming & attentive. We were happy to discover a nice little place that's new to us. The prices are very fair also, only costing around $40 for 3 adults to have lunch. Portion sizes were plentiful & we brought home leftovers. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're ever in the Charlton area. They also serve breakfast! Highlights of dining here include great home cooked food, low prices, quick & courteous service, in a relaxed setting. Great spot for families, friends, couples, or solo dining.
