Was a New Deal Fruit customer until I tried S&L imported Italian sub sandwich. It brought back memories of my childhood. Definitely taking the trip to the other end of Broadway to S&L in Chelsea from now on.

I ordered the import Italian sub today. This was the worst sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. The meat had no flavor whatsoever. I asked for mayo on the bread I didn’t say heavy mayo, but I got a whole jar full of mayo, There was no Oregano, Barely any onions, But there was a pound of lettuce and a whole beef steak tomato on . The sandwich was slipping, and sliding bread was soggy. I received the sandwich within 15 minutes of me ordering it so I would tend to think that it was just thrown together and that’s what it looked like. And the delivery guy was a hostile angry person. I come to Boston all the time stay at this this hotel frequently for work. S & L was recommended to me from a coworker, I was very disappointed. I threw half the sandwich away

Today was my first visit here. Friendly, attentive staff and quick wait time. The sub portion was huge, with delicious and quality ingredients. I will be back!

For the fourth time my sub was made wrong so I called because they’d always fixed it and delivered the correct sub since I live close by. Today my sub was made wrong so I called and I was told that the cook made it right and they also said I didn’t put the details in the directions when I clearly did. After the rude guy on the phone checked, he seen that I actually put it on the directions and then told me I had to wait at least 30 minutes and return the mistake sub when I’m really hungry. My order was over $70 and I’ve been eating here for over 15 years and to be treated like this is rotten. I will NEVER 👎 eat here again and I also called back to let them know about the reviews I’m leaving about this awful experience. This is the very last time I will ever order from here!!

Before when a mistake was made, they would deliver the correct sub to me since I don’t live far from the restaurant. Today when I called I was told I’d have to wait at least 30 minutes to receive the correct sub when I’m really hungry and give them back the mistake sub. My order was over $70 and this is how I’m treated. I understand mistakes happen but this is just so wrong and I’ll never order from here again.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! These subs are truly some of the best I’ve had, and I frequently go to Italian delis. I also almost never write a review, but the folks working at the shop made me feel at home immediately, and they deserve a shout out for their incredible service! The subs were quickly made, tasted delicious, and were fairly priced. I would give them a 20/10 if I could, and I can’t wait to come back! If you’re looking for a convenient, filling, affordable, and all around amazing sub, you must try this place!

I got really bad food poisoning from a sub I order from them
Steak and cheese or steak bomb is my go to sub there you gotta ask for the salami to be cooked in with the steak bomb I don't know why usually it's already in a steak bomb but for some reason they don't do it there so you have to ask it's delicious and the subs are huge. You can't go wrong eating there.

If you’re in the area I recommend you stop in for a bite and say high to a sweet young Italian girl Pinta.

Fran is the BEST! She always goes above & beyond! I finally tried the Steak Tip Caesar with no croutons! Steak was so tender & flavorful! ~ Delicious & the price beat everyone around the area!

What a gem! We are visiting from out of town and just happened to stumble upon this place and it did not disappoint! They were so nice and welcoming, even gave us a free goodie bag of a few things since we said our flight was delayed! The food was amazing (order the chicken cutlet sub!!!), service was amazing, don’t think twice about going here!
