Haven't ate a pizza here in 25yrs, they were unbelievable in 90's well 25yrs later. All mmI could taste was parmesam cheese. Overwhelming. Couldn't eat it. Look great. I just hate parmesam. Getting a 3 of 10.

I thought I'd be safe with a salad as a person with food allergies, but I was not. I was sick 24 hours later

Brit, Jenn, Marylin, and Tiff are absolute legends. This place is a legendary neighborhood bar, and should also be a destination for anyone coming to town. Great place to hang with some locals. As a renowned food critic, BJ is high on the list of places to visit. At another bar, we were discussing the best pizza spots in the metro area and any time we have that conversation, Brown Jug comes up. If you can’t commit to an entire pizza, grab a calzone. I’ve never had a calzone that had me thinking “shit I should come back and get that again”. At Brown Jug, I keep coming back for more. I sell products to different bars, and even if this place never carries my product, I’m going to keep coming back. Everyone is so nice and polite, the food is awesome, they have all the good games on, and the vibes are exceedingly flawless. I do wish they had Allagash beer, but the rest of their draft lineup is awesome. I can’t complain about Maine Lunch and Lagunitas!

I've been in food service for about 40 yrs. I seen there employees throwing out thrash with three aprons on and there appearance not too clean. I've seen the BH staff looking ot too clean so imagine your food being prepared by these employers.

I have enjoyed the Brown Jug Pizza since childhood. (More than 50 years) Unfortunately I have moved away from the city and I am unable to frequent this place. The pizza is the best this side of the Atlantic and possibly as good as it gets. I love the fact the flavor has remained consistent for my entire life time. For all those that complain about the benches, forget about it !
They are part of the original charm.

Great thin sliced real Boston Pizza and bar. My favorite pizza in the city and their calzones are outstanding! Love the people in this neighborhood pizza bar, they always have ice cold beer and a welcoming smile

The waitress upon entering was friendly and welcoming. We ordered a large cheese pizza ?. It was good . They have a large parking lot that’s free so parking is not an issue . The place is casual yet trendy . The place is clean and the bathrooms are clean. The price is under $20 for a large cheese . The portion is good for the price . You can taste the freshness of the food . Yummy ?! A large cheese feeds about 3x hungry adults or 2x super hungry adults . They have a full bar area and then a dinning area inside . They have outdoor seating as well . They have a good size menu .

Parking: Lots of free parking in the lot .

The energy of the old building can't be replaced, but it sure doesn't feel all that different stepping into the new location once you. Pepperoni and extra grated cheese. :)

Went for pizza and a drink for dinner. Thin crust pizza was delish. Server - she was so kind and attentive. Great apps - poppers and green bean sticks.

Pizza was awesome, just as good as I remembered in the previous location. Fried zucchini sticks were so addictive and perfectly fried, and they give you a really good amount. Order the pizza crispy. Buffalo wings were good, you can get 6, 12, or 18 I believe? Server Jen was awesome, we sat in the bar area. There is also a dining area and an outdoor location. The only negative is the tables in the bar, many of them were awful due to instability and napkins under the legs do nothing. Please get rid of the cartoonish wobbly tables please. Seemed to be a running joke.
